摘要： A waste liquid tank B is connected to a cleaning head 60 through a waste tube 25. Squeezing means 61 is provided in a waste flow passage of from an end 60a of the cleaning head 60 to a suction port b of the waste liquid tank B to squeeze the waste flow passage. A pump A is driven with a cleaning head 60 introduced in the oral cavity to suck the residual matter in the oral cavity and to drain it into the waste liquid tank B in order to clean the oral cavity. When the residual matter cannot be sucked with a normal suction force, the waste flow passage is squeezed by the squeezing means 61 to increase the negative pressure in the waste tube 25. Thereafter, the squeeze is released to suck the residual matter at a breath with the increased negative pressure.

摘要： The present invention relates to an isolated Period 1 (Per1) promoter DNA inducing rhythmical expression of a gene operably linked thereto. This invention also provides a DNA comprising a Period 1 promoter DNA and a gene operably linked thereto, the gene being under the regulation of the promoter DNA. The present invention further provides transformants and transgenic mammals into which the DNA has been introduced. The transformants and transgenic mammals are useful in the screening of pharmaceutical drugs against diseases and disorders pertaining to the circadian rhythm.

摘要： An injection molding machine includes a guide coupling for transmitting a linear movement of a ball screw mechanism, and a screw coupling for transmitting rotary movement. A washer-type load cell including an inner tubular portion having first and second ends, an outer tubular portion, and an intermediate distortion portion, is positioned between the guide coupling and the screw coupling to detect a pressure applied to the screw coupling. The inner tubular portion of the load cell and a pair of bearing portions positioned at the first and second ends of the inner tubular portion are secured to the screw coupling by a bearing nut, and the outer tubular portion of the load cell is secured to the guide coupling. This arrangement allows screw pressure to be applied to the inner tubular portion through both the screw coupling displacing relative to the guide coupling and the bearing portion, while the outer tubular portion is positioned-regulated by the guide coupling. The output of the load cell is unaffected by either predetermined loads caused by initial tightening of the structure or the guide coupling, and is proportional to the screw pressure.
