摘要： A hanging file folder assembly includes a file folder having a pair of upwardly extending walls joined along a lower fold line and a mounting flap folded downwardly from a top edge of one wall. The mounting flap is secured to its associated wall along a continuously extending medial joinder line to define an enclosed guide passage for insertion of a suspension bar and an open gripping channel for entry by a lower retaining plate of an index tab holder. An index tab holder for use with the file folder is provided with a lower retaining plate for insertion into the gripping channel and an upper retaining plate for engaging the file folder wall above and opposite the gripping channel.

摘要： A portfolio particularly adapted for use in the taking and retaining of hand writen notes comprises front and back cover boards adhered in spaced relation to the inside of a cover sheet of woven decorative fabric that forms a combined gusset and hinge by which the portfolio can be opened to lie flat. A liner sheet covering the inner surfaces of the cover boards is adhered thereto along its outer marginal portion, but it is not attached to the central area of the back cover board in order to form therewith a pocket to which access is provided by a slit in the liner sheet. An envelope designed to receive and retain sheets of writing paper is attached to the portfolio by insertion of its flap portion in the slit in the liner sheet, and the front wall of this envelope is in turn provided with a slit adjacent one end thereof which is proportioned to receive the paperboard back of a note or sketch pad, and thereby to mount such a pad on the envelope as a further component of the portfolio.

摘要： An expandable outside pocket is provided on one panel of a binder. This pocket includes a releasable closure to control expansion of the pocket. In one configuration, the outside pocket includes a zippered gusset, where the zipper can be closed to prevent expansion of the pocket capacity. The gusset and zipper configuration enables the pocket to be expanded when it is desired to increase the size of the pocket in order to accommodate larger items such as books, but also enables the gusset to be held in a non-extendable position when the pocket does not need to be expanded, such as when the pocket is only used to carry papers or slim folders. A second zipper is preferably also provided in order to control access to the pocket. In another configuration, the outside pocket includes gussets along its sides which facilitate expansion of the pocket, and a single zipper provides access to the pocket interior when unzipped and also enables the pocket to expand when unzipped. The pocket can be expanded to provide simple access to the pocket interior, permitting convenient perusal of papers within the pocket without removal of the papers.
