摘要： A dental instrument adapted to be used as a file or reamer for removing dead or damaged tissue from the root canal of a tooth. The instrument comprises a body part, of which solely the proximal part is shown, an intermediate part and a shank, these three parts preferably being integral with each other. The shank is adapted to be inserted releasably in a chuck, so that it may be driven to rotation when the instrument is used for treating the root canal of a tooth (not shown). A fracture groove between the intermediate part and the shank ensures that fracture occurs at this location, if the body part gets stuck in a tooth, thus avoiding the risk of small distal parts of the instrument being left in the root canal in a manner making it impossible to remove them.

The present invention also relates to a method of curing a photocurable dental prosthesis in a patient's tooth, in which a light emitting apparatus is provided that comprises LEDs that are mounted on a substrate, the substrate being covered with a clear coating embedding the LEDs, and the LEDs being placed so proximate to the photocurable dental prostheses that the smallest distance between the outer surface of the clear coating and the outer surface of the photocurable dental prostheses is less than 2 mm. The LED carrying part can be connected to a handle for grasping by a user's hand, or be provided with a structure for engaging an opposite tooth so that it can be held in place between the patient's teeth.

摘要： An endodontic obturator for filling an endodontically prepared root canal of a tooth. The endodontic obturator includes an elongated shaft of having a proximate portion and a distal portion. The proximate portion has a handle portion connected thereto or is suitable for being releasably connected to a handle portion. A layer of filler material is coated about the shaft. The filler material has a low operating temperature at which it becomes plasticized or partially molten. The filler material in the layer disposed close to the distal end can have a higher viscosity at the operating temperate than the filler material close to the distal end.

When the laser head is mounted to the battery section the apparatus assumes the shape of a penlight or flashlight and can be used as a handheld laser therapy apparatus.
