摘要： A retractable clothesline device (10) for storing a clothesline (12) when in a fully retracted position and enabling the clothesline (12) to be readily extended from its retracted position for use, the device (10) including an outer housing (14) and a spool (26) disposed within the housing (14) for retaining a clothesline (12) thereon. A spring is operatively connected to the spool (26) for being in a biased condition when the clothesline (12) is in an extended position and in a substantially unbiased condition relative to the biased condition when the clothesline (12) is in a fully retracted position. The device (10) includes an upper shelf (122) disposed directly over the spool (26) and a bottom shelf (124) disposed directly below the spool (26), the upper and bottom shelves (122,124) extending radially outwardly from the spool (26) substantially to the front wall (120) of the housing (14) to prevent the clothesline (12) from winding off of the spool (26) and into the housing (14).

摘要： A trash can hauler including a pair of longitudinally extending, skeletal trash can supports interconnected by U-shaped beam members. The supports include lower beams to support the bottom of a trash can. The supports include front, rear and upper beams adjacent the sides of the trash can to prevent lateral tipping thereof. The front and rear beams of the supports have telescopic connections to the upper and lower beams. A front beam member connected to the front beams has a pair of ground-engageable wheels rotatably secured thereto and a rear beam member connected to the rear beams has a ground-engageable portion. In one embodiment the connections between the supports and the front and rear beam members as well as the connections between the front and rear beams and the upper and lower beams are adjustable to enable positioning of the supports relative to the front and rear beam members to support any given size trash can.

摘要： A retractable clothesline device for storing the clothesline when in a fully retracted position and enabling the clothesline to be readily extended from its retracted position for use, said device comprising an outer housing having a plurality of openings therethrough and a spool disposed within the housing having at least two outwardly extending axially spaced radial flanges. The spool includes an inner surface with outer edges defining a central axial opening. A hub with an opening therethrough is secured to the inner surface of the spool between the outer edges. At least one clothesline extending through at least one opening in the housing is provided with the clothesline having at least one end secured to the spool between the two flanges such that the clothesline is stored on the spool when in a retracted position. A handle, slidably disposed on the clothesline, is provided for extending the clothesline from a retracted position. A spool bearing is also provided and disposed between the spool and housing. A spindle extends through openings in the hub, bearing and housing and biasing means are provided between the spool and spindle with the biasing means being in a biased condition when the clothesline is in an extended position and in a substantially unbiased condition relative to the biased condition when the clothesline is in a fully retracted position. Means for securing the spool in a fixed non-rotatable position relative to the spindle are further provided to secure the clothesline when extended to a desired position.

摘要： An improved locking assembly for a folding seat is disclosed. The assembly includes a support plate adapted to be fixedly mounted to a step at its lower surface. The seat is supported by a support member when the seat is in its support position. The assembly also includes a broad hook pivotally connected at one end thereof to the support plate at a position substantially midway between the sides of the seat to hold the support member in locking relationship with the step to prevent the step from unintentionally moving out of its support position.

摘要： An improved combined chair and stool apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a U-shaped member having a pair of leg portions defining the front legs of the apparatus, a pair of spaced support members extending between the front legs and secured thereto, and a pair of folding steps comprising upper and lower steps. A pair of spaced back legs are pivotally connected to the top step adjacent to the back edge of the top step for relative pivotal movement therebetween. A pair of spaced pivot links are pivotally connected at their opposite ends to the upper support member and to the back portion of the upper step. The lower step is pivotally attached at its front portion to the lower support member. A second pair of pivot links are pivotally connected to the top step and the bottom step. The second pair of pivot links are connected to the top step at a position forward the pivotal connection between the top step and the first pair of pivot links. The back legs are pivotally connected to their respective front legs at the ends of the back legs.
