摘要： A vehicle lamp includes a plurality of semiconductor light emitting devices, and a reflector for reflecting light emitted from the semiconductor light emitting devices toward a front side of the vehicle lamp. The reflector is partitioned into a plurality of light emitting areas that are radially formed around an optical axis extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle. Each of the semiconductor light emitting devices is disposed on an outer peripheral portion of one of the light emitting areas respectively. Each of the reflecting surfaces of the reflector is provided in one of the light emitting areas respectively.

The reflector is formed into a shape whose front area is open. A plate-like partition member is disposed inside the reflector to partition the reflector into a plurality of reflecting areas. The semiconductor light emitting devices are mounted on the plate-like partition member in respective reflecting areas such that optical axes of the semiconductor light emitting devices are directed in a direction substantially perpendicular to a lamp optical axis.

摘要： This invention provides an input device of safety unit which enables an error diagnosis result referred to in a process of input processing for generating a control data from raw input signal to be referred by a side using the control data also in a safety unit such as a safety master and safety slave. An input device contains a function of outputting status data indicating the error diagnosis result referred to when input signal is converted to control data and the control data obtained by the conversion in pair, so that when the logical value of the control data is “LOW”, whether it originates from that the raw logical value is “LOW” or that “LOW” is compulsorily set due to an error in the terminal can be determined from the logical value of the status data.

The headlamp system includes a plurality of headlamps, one headlamp disposed on each of the right and left sides of a front end portion of a vehicle. Each of the headlamps includes a lamp body having an opening portion, a transparent cover attached to the opening portion to form a lamp chamber, and a plurality of lamp units arranged inside the lamp chamber along a width direction of the vehicle. An outer side portion of the transparent cover extends toward a rear side of the vehicle. Each of the lamp units includes a light emitting element disposed such that a light emitting surface thereof faces an inner side in the width direction of the vehicle, and a reflector disposed on an inner side of the light emitting element to forwardly reflect light from the corresponding light emitting element.

摘要： When gallium phosphide is etched with hot phosphoric acid from the surface of a crystal having a (1 1 1) plane, the etched surface becomes a flat and smooth plane inclined at an angle of 45.degree. to 55.degree. to the (1 1 1) plane. Accordingly, when an electroluminescent diode is manufactured by forming a p-n junction on a gallium phosphide crystal having a (1 1 1) plane and etching the crystal with a hot concentrated phosphoric acid etching solution to form a mesa structure, the side faces of the resulting crystal becomes inclined to the plane of the junction at an angle of nearly 45.degree. so that the visible rays generated in the p-n junction are totally reflected on the side faces, thus markedly increasing the intensity of emitted rays in the direction of the optical axis perpendicular to the principal plane of the p-n junction.
