摘要： A carbon fiber cord for rubber reinforcement comprising a carbon fiber bundle having coated thereon from 5 to 50% by weight, based on the total weight of the carbon fiber bundle thus treated, of a resin composition comprising a mixture of 100 parts by weight of a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer having a carboxyl group on at least both terminals of the molecule of the copolymer and from 5 to 40 parts by weight of an epoxy resin, or a reaction mixture obtained therefrom, and a curing agent for the epoxy resin, and further coated thereon from 0.5 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the carbon fiber bundle and the resin composition coated thereon, of a mixture of a phenolformalin-rubber latex type adhesive for rubber. The carbon fiber cord exhibits excellent adhesion to rubber and fatigue resistance.

摘要： A rocker arm made from a carbon-fiber reinforced resin is disclosed wherein various axes are defined with particularity such as the central axis of the hole through which the rocker shaft is inserted (Z-axis), a line parallel to the edge of the valve side (Y-axis) and the line that is parallel to the cam side (Y'axis). The bisect of the angle at which the Y-axis crosses the Y'axis is the X-axis. Further, cos.sup.2 .beta. of the carbon fibers present in the Y- or Y'axis side with respect to the X-Z axis is defined in detail where .beta. is a defined angle of orientation as is cos.sup.2 .alpha. which is defined in the specification.The rocker arm is produced by filling a rocker arm mold with a carbon fiber-containing synthetic resin such that cos.sup.2 .beta. of the carbon fibers meets a defined value to such an extent that the cos.sup.2 .alpha. meets a defind value. The rocker arm is lighter and stronger than conventional rocker arms.

摘要： An epoxy resin composition having excellent adhesive and high mechanical strength is disclosed. The composition comprises:(A) a bisphenol A type epoxy resin present in an amount of at least 45 wt % of the total epoxy resin;(B) a novolak type epoxy resin present in an amount of at least 8 wt % of the total epoxy resin;(C) a glycidyl amine type epoxy resin (including the one used in (D)) present in an amount of at least 15 wt % of the total epoxy resin;(D) a reaction product of a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer having carboxyl groups on at least both ends of the molecule and a glycidyl amine type epoxy resin, said butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer being present in an amount of 1.5 to 15 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total epoxy resin;(E) nitrile rubber present in an amount of 2 to 8 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the total epoxy resin; wherein the total epoxy resin is the total amount of epoxy resins (A), (B) and (C), as well as the glycidyl amine type epoxy resin used in preparing component (D);(F) a curing agent consisting of dicyandiamide;(G) a curing accelerator, and(H) a reinforcing fiber to form a composition which exhibits good performance when it is used as a prepreg for composite.
