    • A feature point calculating section binarizes the image data to obtain a centroid of a consecutive component in which pixels are connected as a feature point, reverses the image data, obtains a centroid as a feature point from the reversed image data similarly, and adds them as a feature point of the image data. A features calculating section calculates a predetermined invariant based on the feature point containing the feature point obtained from the reversed image data, and calculates a hash value based on the predetermined invariant. A vote process section retrieves a hash table based on the calculated hash value, votes for a document of an index stored in association with the hash value, and accumulatively adds the vote. A similarity determination process section compares the number of votes calculated by the vote process section with a predetermined threshold value to determine a similarity.

This realizes a control device which (i) authenticates a user in an easy way in which impersonation can be prevented without inconvenient operation, and (ii) prevents another user from accidentally viewing a printed matter.

    • There are provided: a pattern detection process section for extracting a partial image made of pixels including a target pixel from input image data; a rotated image generating section for generating a self-rotated image by rotating the partial image; and a matching test determination section for determining whether an image pattern included in the partial image matches an image pattern included in the self-rotated image. When it is determined that matching exists, a target pixel in the partial image or a block made of pixels including the target pixel is regarded as a feature point. Consequently, even when image data has been read while skewed with respect to a predetermined positioning angle of a reading position of an image reading apparatus or image data has been subjected to enlarging, reducing etc., a feature point properly specifying the image data can be extracted regardless of skew, enlarging, reducing etc.

    • A captured image processing system is provided. The captured image processing system includes a portable terminal apparatus and an image output apparatus, each of which are communicable with the other. The portable terminal apparatus captures an image of an object and transmits output target image data obtained by capturing the image to the image output apparatus so as to cause output of this captured image from the image output apparatus. The image output apparatus carries out image processing to the received output target image data, and outputs (a) corrected image data, or (b) an image indicated by the corrected image data. The captured image processing system allows easy output of necessary regions included in an image captured by the portable terminal apparatus, and allows output of an image having no geometric distortion even if image capture is carried out obliquely with respect to a captured image object.

    • A portable terminal apparatus includes an encoding section for encoding captured image data by use of a reference data table, and the portable terminal apparatus outputs, to an image output apparatus, the captured image data encoded, to which a common code corresponding to the reference data table and an output machine ID set by an entry by a user are attached. Meanwhile, the image output apparatus, in a case where the output machine ID received from the portable terminal apparatus matches its own output machine ID, decodes the encoded captured image data by use of an inverse transformation table corresponding to the common code, and outputs this decoded captured image data. As a result, it is possible to ensure confidentiality of image data that is obtained by capturing an image with the portable terminal apparatus. Furthermore, even if a problem such as failure or the like occurs to an image output apparatus that is designated to output an image, it is possible to output the image from another image output apparatus.
