    • A marker system includes a marker, and a positioner coupled to the marker, the positioner configured to position the marker from a first predetermined position to a second predetermined position. A method of providing a marker system includes obtaining a first data representative of a first predetermined position, obtaining a second data representative of a second predetermined position, and moving a set of one or more markers from the first predetermined position to the second predetermined position, wherein the set of one or more markers is moved using a positioner. A method of using a marker system includes detecting a marker when the marker is located at a first position, moving the marker from the first position to a second position using a positioner, and detecting the marker when the marker is located at the second position.

    • Correlating activity events to identify a root cause of a process failure. Activity event data is received from a process executing on a computing device. The activity event data corresponds to a plurality of activity events. Each of the activity events has a correlation identifier, a resolution status, and an occurrence time value associated therewith. Each of the activity events are assigned to one of a plurality of event groups based on the correlation identifier of the activity event. Thereafter, at least one of the event groups is determined to have an activity event with a resolution status indicating failure of the process. One of the activity events within the determined event group is selected as a root cause activity event based on the occurrence time values. In some embodiments, the root cause activity event is identified to a user of the computing device.

    • A routing system receives an instant message (IM) from a user via an IM service. The IM contains a source address associated with the IM user and a destination address associated with a contact in the IM user's “buddy” list. A temporary mobile device number is allocated to the IM user. The IM is converted to a text message suitable for delivery to the selected contact's mobile device via a short message service, whereby the temporary mobile device number allocated to the IM user is the source address of the text message. Upon receipt of the text message, the contact may compose and send a reply text message to the IM user via the temporary mobile device number. The reply text message is routed to the IM user via an IM service based on the temporary mobile device number allocated to the IM user.
