摘要： An optoelectronic laser module, in particular for dense wavelength division multiplex systems, is described. The laser module has a laser diode with an active region, an optical resonator containing a highly silvered reflecting surface and a Bragg interference grating which provides frequency-selective feedback, and a housing which accommodates the laser diode and has a holder for coupling an optical conductor. The Bragg interference grating is configured as a fiber Bragg grating in an optical conductor and the optical conductor is connected to the housing via the holder. As a result, it is possible with the use of standard components to provide a laser having an external resonator whose emission wavelength can be set in a simple way by suitable selection of the fiber Bragg grating.

摘要： A damper for sound conducted or propagating in solids is constructed to ecially damp oscillations or vibrations of the bending type particularly in plates, housings, girders, rails, rods, etc. The damper is connected to the structural member to be damped in such a manner that the damping force is taken up by the structure member itself. For this purpose a damping element having a high rigidity against bending is secured longitudinally to a structural member to be damped. The structural member and the element form the damping unit. Due to the high flexural rigidity, the damping element behaves like a solid platform or a fixed point, such that vibrations of the structural member cause a relative motion between the structural member and the damping element. This relative motion provides excellent damping characteristics which may even be improved by placing a viscous damping material between the structural member and the element.

摘要： The present noise damping apparatus is especially intended for damping the noise caused by wheels running on rails. For this purpose there is provided a noise screen connected to at least one surface of the rail wheel in a force transmitting, yet removable manner. The noise screen comprises vibration damping reed members. This screen prevents noise generated by the wheel proper from radiating outwardly and it also acts as a noise absorber for the impact noise propagating in the wheel and other solid bodies.

摘要： This invention is a sliding floor for utility vehicles. The sliding floor consists of longitudinally C-shaped channels disposed at either side of the truck bed and extending parallel to each other. A sliding plate adapted for lengthwise movement to and fro over the floor of the truck is mounted for movement dictated by the channel mounting and acting as race ways for the sliding plate. The sliding plate rests upon rollers interposed between the C-shaped channels which permits the sliding plate to be easily moved inwardly and outwardly of the truck bed. At the back of the sliding floor, stop means are provided to prevent the sliding plate from moving beyond a designated end of the truck bed. A lock is preferably provided that locks the sliding plate in several extended positions. Also support legs are provided to provide surface support for the floor, if desired, when the floor is extended.

摘要： A fireplace heat exchanger is disclosed comprising a spacer frame assembly adapted to provide a frame for surrounding the open front of a fireplace opening, and a heat exchanger assembly in communication with said frame assembly. The heat exchanger assembly comprises a pair of laterally-spaced horizontal manifold tubes, and a plurality of horizontally-extending parallel heat exchanger or convection tubes interconnecting said manifold tubes, said convection tubes having opposite sides thereof indented, with the indentations of each tube facing the indentations of adjacent tubes to thereby form substantially circular flues for the escape of smoke vertically therethrough. Means are provided, for removably securing the heat exchanger assembly, at an elevated position to the side walls of the fireplace, and for removably securing the spacer frame assembly to walls surrounding the front of the fireplace. Each of the convection tubes contains a spiral strip or element which is designed to increase the heat transfer area and direct the air in spiral flow extending the time the air is in the tubes.
