摘要： A motion picture projector provided with means for supporting film supply cartridges of different sizes with the rotational axes of their film supply reels at respective different predetermined positions includes a supply reel support spindle carried by an arm which is angularly adjustable about an axis parallel to the spindle to selectively position the spindle at different ones of such predetermined positions of the reel axis. Preferably, the spindle may be positioned at locations which do not necessarily lie on an arc of a circle thereby allowing for interchangeable cartridges containing reels whose axes do not define the arc of a circle in their respective positions on the projector.

摘要： A cartridge-loading motion picture projector is provided with a movable arm for supporting a reel within a cartridge which in turn is supported on the projector. The arm is arranged to assume an angular position dependent on the size of the cartridge. Means are provided for sensing a code indication on the cartridge and means are provided for sensing the amount of film wound on the reel within the cartridge. A comparing means is responsive to the variables sensed by the two sensing means for adjusting the rotational speed of the supply reel during rewind.

The lever 8 is pivoted on a screw 9 having an arm 8a for co-operation with a projection 6a on a cover 6 spring-urged into operative position. The lever 8 has a projection 8c engaging a slot 11a, Fig. 3 (not shown) of bulb holder 11 to retain flash bulb 17. Contact springs 12 and 13 urge the bulb 17 upwards to eject the bulb 17 upon pivoting the lever 8, Fig. 1, counterclockwise. The lever 8 is pivoted counterclockwise against a spring 10 by a knob 14.

摘要： A machine such as a cinematographic projector is convertible to accommodate either a film supply cartridge or an unenclosed film supply reel, such conversion being automatically accompanied by corresponding changes in the mode of operation of the machine. The machine has thereon a stripping mechanism adapted to separate the leading end of the film from a supply roll. The stripping mechanism includes a stripper member movable from a first location out of engagement with the roll to a second location in engagement with the outermost convolution on the roll, a drive member movable from a first position out of engagement with the roll to a second position in engagement with the roll, and means for sequentially moving the stripper member from the first location to the second location and then the drive member from the first position to the second position while the stripper member remains in the second location.
