摘要： A display device includes a light emitting element, a capacitor, a driving transistor, and first to third switching units. The capacitor is connected between a first node and a second node. The driving transistor has an input terminal connected with a first voltage, an output terminal, and a control terminal connected with the second node, and it outputs a driving current to the light emitting element. The first switching unit selects and connects one of a data voltage and a second voltage to the first node. The second switching unit switches a connection between the second voltage and the second node. The third switching unit selects and connects one of the second node and the light emitting element to the output terminal of the driving transistor.

摘要： Disclosed is a level shifter having an amplifier amplifying a second supply voltage and generating an input voltage higher than the predetermined signal, a input buffer selectively transferring an input signal based on the input voltage of the amplifier and an output transistor providing a first supply voltage to an output terminal based on the input signal of the input buffer. When the transistor of the amplifier is turned on, the voltage difference of between gate and source of the input buffer is increased according to the increase of the input voltage, so that it is possible to operate with high speed. Moreover, when the transistor of the amplifier is turned off, the voltage difference of between gate and source becomes negative so that power consumption may reduce because there is no leakage current.

Each of the light emitting units are connected to respective driving thin film transistors, have relatively longer lengths in a first direction, and have the same width in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. One among the plurality of light emitting units is longer than the remaining light emitting units to thereby improve a light emitting efficiency and image display quality of a display panel.

摘要： Provided are an illumination sensing apparatus, a driving method thereof and a display device having the illumination sensing apparatus. The illumination sensing apparatus includes an illumination sensor unit configured to generate a sensing signal according to peripheral illumination, an illumination determination unit configured to generate an illumination signal according to the sensing signal, and an illumination judgment unit configured to output a brightness select signal using the illumination signal, wherein the illumination sensor unit controls sensitivity of sensing the peripheral illumination to be varied according to the brightness select signal. Therefore, the sensitivity of an illumination sensor is automatically controlled according to the peripheral illumination, thus improving peripheral illumination sensibility. Further, an illumination signal corresponding to the peripheral illumination is provided to a light source module to thereby control the output brightness of the light source module, which makes it possible to reduce power consumption and improve image quality.

摘要： A light sensing circuit includes a sensor unit, a voltage generator and a readout circuit. The sensor unit includes a first sensor that detects an external light to output a first current value, a third sensor that detects an internal light generated from the backlight unit to output a third current value, and a second sensor that detects a peripheral light isolated from the external light and the internal light to output a second current value. The sensor unit outputs a first differential value between the third current value and the second current value and a second differential value between the first current value and the second current value. The voltage generator generates a reference voltage based on the first differential value and a sensing voltage based on the second differential value. The readout circuit outputs brightness information of the external light using the reference voltage and the sensing voltage.
