摘要： A microburst visibility system includes a switch device coupled to each sender device(s) and receiver device(s). The switch device receives flows transmitted by the sender device(s) to the receiver device(s). For each flow that include data packets that are stored in a first queue, the switch device provides a first queue identifier for the first queue in a flow record associated with that flow and modifies, for each data packet that is transmitted as part of that flow, flow information in data packet counter(s) that are associated with the first queue identifier in the flow record associated with that flow. When the switch device detects a microburst in the first queue, it captures the flow information in each data packet counter that is associated with the first queue identifier in each of the flow records included in the switch device, and provides it for analysis.

The system and method further includes determining a second management status value (LM) associated with the first device, determining a second operational status value (LO) based on the first status update and the RM, transmitting a second status update for the virtual link to the second device, the second status update including the LM and the LO, and determining a state of the virtual link based on the RM, the RO, the LM, and the LO. The first device is configured to be coupled to the second device using a physical network link partitioned into a plurality of first virtual links including the virtual link.

In embodiments, in a static solution, data rates of data flows having a common destination port may be measured and responsive to the data flows having a combined data rate that exceeding a rate limit of the common destination port, one or more of the data flows may be limited. Embodiments may also comprise a global scheduler to provide dynamic data rate controls of traffic flows from source ports to destination ports in which to reduce the handling of data traffic that would otherwise be discarded due to oversubscription.

摘要： A hash collision mitigation system includes a source device coupled to a destination device by a networking device. The networking device receives a first packet from the source device, and uses first packet information included in the first packet to perform a hash operation on the first packet and generate a hash value. The networking device then determines that the hash value has caused a hash collision with a first hash value forwarding entry in a hash forwarding table in the networking device and, in response, generates a first Policy Based Routing (PBR) entry for the first packet. The first PBR entry is configured to provide for the forwarding of at least one second packet received from the destination device and directed to the source device, and that first PBR is stored in a Ternary Content Addressable Memory (TCAM) in the networking device.

摘要： An information handling system is provided. The information handling system includes a first hypervisor running on a first host and a second hypervisor running on a second host. The first hypervisor managing a first virtual switch, and the second hypervisor managing a second virtual switch. The information handling system also includes a plurality of virtual machines (VMs), including a first VM, which is part of a first tenant, running on the first host, and a second VM, part of a second tenant, running on the second host. The first virtual switch has a mapping in memory that maps a customer-specific multicast IP address, used by the plurality of VMs to indicate a multicast group that includes VMs on the first and second tenants, to a global multicast IP address used by the first and second hosts.
