    • A container for a volatile liquid in a liquid dispensing device comprises a body and a neck extending from the body to define an opening. A retention structure is integral with the container body and is adapted to be releasably engaged with two opposing sidewalls of a housing of the dispensing device. The sidewalls are spaced apart in a first direction, and the retention structure is inhibits motion of the container in two opposing directions generally transverse to the first direction. The retention structure may be located on a side of the container body. A capillary member extends from inside the container to an exterior of the container. The volatile liquid migrates along the capillary member from the reservoir to the exterior of the container where it is evaporated from the surface of the capillary member by forced airflow generated by a motorized fan mounted in the housing.

    • An improved aqueous fabric cleaning shampoo composition contains a combination of (a) about 0.5-20% by weight of a fabric cleaning polymer which is a solid at 25.degree. C. and water dispersible or water soluble upon neuturalization with an alkaline compound such as a polymer of methacrylic acid/styrene/n-butyl acrylate, (b) about 0.1-10% by weight of a specific type of wax having a melting point of at least 50.degree. C. such as pressure-emulsified polyethylene wax and (c) about 0.05-5% by weight of a silicone betaine polymer in addition to an effective amount of at least one conventional anionic, nonionic, amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactant in water at a pH of from about 7 to about 10.5. Such a fabric cleaning shampoo composition not only provides good cleaning and conditioning to fabrics, particularly synthetic fibre fabrics, such as those used in carpets as well as to upholstery and pile fabrics, but also provides soil resistance to the fabric cleaned with such a composition.

    • A process for comparing the dust retention properties of various treated and untreated hard surfaces, within a dust retaining enclosure, that includes subjecting the surfaces to be compared, previously coated with a standardized layer of dust, to a standardized dust dislodging force sufficient to dislodge dust from at least one of the surfaces, determining any increase in the quantity of dust particles in the atmosphere within the enclosure as a result of the dust dislodging force, and comparing the relative amounts of dust particles found in within the enclosure for the surfaces.
