摘要： An anti-rotation clip for joining a fuel injector body to a fuel rail socket. A C-shaped base is formed to slide into an annular groove in the injector body. A pair of tangs extend from the base to straddle a rib on the injector body to prevent rotation between the clip and the injector. Opposed sidewalls extending from the base include windows for receiving a radial flange of the fuel rail socket to correctly position the fuel injector axially within the socket. Each window is divided by a locking bar for reception in a notch in the socket flange to prevent rotation between the clip and the socket. The radial positions of the injector rib and flange notch are selected such that the injector will be properly oriented with respect to the engine after installation therein.

摘要： A nuclear radiation detector included inside mobile personal communication devices (e.g. cellular or satellite phone, pager, PDA) allows for a network of portable radiation detectors that can not only detect radiation, but also track possible radiation sources by virtue of the ubiquitous nature of such personal communication devices. When radiation levels above a certain level are detected, the detector electronics embedded within any proximate mobile personal communication device communicates with the device to cause transmission of relevant data to the authorities (e.g., central reporting server monitored by FBI). The detection event is assessed by factors including, for example, quantity of alarms in a given area and radiation level detected. The small size of this embedded detector allow for its discreet configuration and monitoring at all times. The device is non-invasive and requires no user knowledge or action, thus eliminating indiscriminate and uncontrolled action by the user.

摘要： Disclosed here are inventive systems and methods for a powertrain of an electric vehicle (EV). In some embodiments, said powertrain includes a continuously variable transmission (CVT) coupled to an electric drive motor, wherein a control system is configured to control the CVT and/or the drive motor to optimize various efficiencies associated with the EV and/or its subsystems. In one specific embodiment, the control system is configured to operate the EV in an economy mode. Operating in said mode, the control system simultaneously manages the CVT and the drive motor to optimize the range of the EV. The control system can be configured to manage the current provided to the drive motor, as well as adjust a transmission speed ratio of the CVT. Other modes of operation are also disclosed. The control system can be configured to manage the power to the drive motor and adjust the transmission speed ratio of the CVT taking into account battery voltage, throttle position, and transmission speed ratio, for example.

Devices may also include a tactile feedback mechanism that provides different tactile feedback for different emission modes of the device.
