    • A dual band antenna includes a first linear periodic array of first individual antennas for a first frequency band and a second linear periodic array of second individual antennas for a second frequency band. The period of the first linear periodic array is essentially twice as large as the period of the second linear periodic array. The second individual antennas are arranged alternately between the first and above the first individual antennas. The first individual antennas and the second individual antennas are embodied as patch radiators. The first and second individual antennas each include a printed-circuit board arranged in a rectangular, electrically conducting box which is open towards the top in addition to several patch plates which are arranged at a distance on top of each other above the printed-circuit board and parallel to the printed-circuit board.

    • A broadband patch antenna including a planar metallic patch sheet that is provided with right-angled edges and is disposed at a predetermined first height above and parallel to the planar base area of an electrically conducting reflector, and a device for feeding an RF signal into the metallic patch sheet. The feeding device encompasses a conductor which is guided in a vertical direction and is insulated through the base area of the reflector and terminates at a feeding point on the metallic patch sheet. To significantly improve the broadband range while keeping the structure of the antenna simple, the metallic patch sheet has the shape of a cross and the conductor of the feeding device is an inner conductor of a coaxial conductor that is positioned between the base area of the reflector and the metallic patch sheet.

    • A broad band communications antenna includes a baseplate which has a conductive layer that includes at least one coupler opening. A stripline network is provided adjacent the conductive layer in the region of the coupler openings. At least one conductive patch is arranged opposite the baseplate. The baseplate and the patch are arranged in a conductive housing which is provided with an open side. The baseplate is arranged adjacent the bottom of the housing and therefore farthest from the open side. One or more lugs are provided on the open side of the housing for reducing the open cross-sectional surface of the housing when the open side is seen from above.
