According to one implementation, the GPS receiving apparatus includes a GPS receiving unit, a storage unit, a position measuring unit, a reception control unit, and a movement judging unit. The storage unit stores GPS information. The reception control unit starts reception operation with a first or second mode. In the first mode, the GPS receiving unit uses the stored GPS information. In the second mode, the stored GPS information is not used. The movement judging unit judges whether the apparatus is moved a predetermined distance or more from a previous measured position. When the movement judging unit judges that the apparatus is moved the predetermined distance or more, the reception control unit starts reception operation with the second mode.

摘要： A processor determines whether the remaining period until the expiration time of predicted ephemerides, which are predicted orbital information on navigation satellites, is a determination period or shorter. The determination period is set to at least the maximum term during which a subject is expected to be in a certain state. The processor causes an operation of acquiring actual ephemerides, which are actual orbital information on the navigation satellites, to be executed based on the positioning signals received when determination is made that the remaining period until the expiration time of the predicted ephemerides is the determination period or shorter, and determines the position of the subject based on the actual ephemerides acquired through the actual ephemeris acquiring operation.

摘要： A satellite radiowave receiving device includes a receiver and a processor. The receiver acquires and receives radiowaves from a positioning satellite. The processor performing a positioning operation based on the radiowaves received by the receiver to obtain a current position of the satellite radiowave receiving device. The processor causes the receiver to stop an acquiring operation of radiowaves from a new positioning satellite under a predetermined condition while radiowaves are being acquired from a required number of positioning satellite for the positioning operation. If an error range of the obtained current position no longer satisfies a predetermined accuracy standard during a stop of the acquiring operation, the processor causes the receiver to resume the acquiring operation.
