    • A computing device includes a touch screen displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) and a processing unit programmed to recognize gestures made on the touch screen and execute, in response thereto, a process associated with the gestures. The gestures include at least one of: a tap that causes an animation to be overlaid on the GUI at a location of the tap and, if a cursor is overlaid on the GUI, also causes the cursor to be moved to the location of the tap, a press-and-hold that causes a cursor overlaid on the GUI to be moved to a location of the press-and-hold, a press-and-hold in combination with a tap that causes a mouse right-click command to be executed, a press-and-hold that exceeds a predetermined amount of time in combination with a drag that causes a resizing of the GUI, a simultaneous three-tap that causes a keyboard to be launched and overlaid on the GUI to not obscure the portion of the GUI on top of which the simultaneous three-tap gesture was made, and a two-finger sweep that causes content within the GUI to be scrolled.

    • Techniques for watching a location of a device with respect to a destination target include obtaining a current location of a device from a localization operation, calculating an interval, and performing a next localization operation after the interval has expired. The interval may be calculated based on a velocity and a distance from the current location to a destination target. The techniques may also include calculating a displacement distance from the current location and adjusting the interval based on the displacement distance to thereby adjust a time for performing the next localization operation. The techniques may include performing state detection to determine a motion state of the device and performing the next localization operation based on the determined motion state.

    • The present disclosure introduces a technique for achieving the optimal time to launch or withdraw products on a webpage. In one aspect, a method includes: storing information to be collected from a webpage for one or more items corresponding to a first product; collecting data related to the one or more items in each time section of a plurality of time sections; calculating a respective value score for each time section of the plurality of time sections based on a respective number of occurrences of the one or more items in each time section; determining the optimal time to launch or withdraw the first product based on value scores of the first product for the plurality of time sections; and rendering launch or withdrawal of the first product on the webpage in the optimal time. Implementation of the technique will conveniently allow a merchant's product website to automatically complete a product launch or withdrawal in the optimal time.

    • A coupling mechanism includes a pivot assembly and a lifting assembly. The pivot assembly includes a first bracket, a pivot pin, a second bracket, and a cam piece. The second bracket is rotatably mounted to the first bracket via the pivot pin and has a valley portion recessed from one surface thereof. The cam piece is mounted to the pivot pin for holding the second bracket at any angle. The cam piece has a peak portion formed on one surface thereof and received in the valley portion of the second bracket at a closed position. The lifting assembly is adjustably assembled to the second bracket such that the lifting assembly is pivotally assembled with the first bracket.
