    • In a printer that prints to continuous paper, starting to backfeed the recording paper for printing the next print job before the user cuts the previously printed page can be prevented. The printer prints while conveying recording paper delivered from fanfold paper through a transportation path, and after printing cuts the recording paper using a cutter disposed near the paper exit.
