    • There are provided an antireflection film for use primarily in displays such as LCDs, which exhibits both antifouling properties and mar-proofness, as well as a process for its production, the antireflection film comprising at least one functional layer and a low refractive index layer laminated in that order on a transparent base material, wherein the at least one functional layer contains leveling agent A in contact with the low refractive index layer, the low refractive index layer containing in addition to leveling agent B, the leveling agent A that has migrated from the at least one functional layer, further wherein the migrated leveling agent A and leveling agent B are uniformly distributed at the surface of the low refractive index layer, and the process for its production including: coating a functional layer-forming composition containing leveling agent A onto a transparent base material or a functional layer preformed thereover; half-curing it to form a functional layer in contact with the low refractive index layer; further coating the half-cured functional layer with a low refractive index layer-forming composition containing leveling agent B; and then completing the curing to form a low refractive index layer, whereby the leveling agent A migrates into the surface of the low refractive index layer, resulting in uniform distribution of the leveling agent A and leveling agent B at the surface of the low refractive index layer.

    • An antireflection laminate for use mainly in displays such as LCDs and PDPs, which has a refractive index layer that has, while comprising hollow and solid particles, excellent abrasion resistance, a refractive index of 1.45 or less, and low reflectivity is disclosed. The refractive index layer is obtained by irradiating a refractive index layer forming composition with ionizing radiation, the composition including an ionizing radiation curable resin, a crosslinkable hollow particle having an inside that is porous or hollow and is covered with an outer shell layer and having a surface that is modified with a crosslinkable group(s), and a crosslinkable solid particle having an inside that is neither porous nor hollow and having a surface that is modified with a crosslinkable group(s). The crosslinkable groups comprise an ionizing radiation curable group each and have an identical structure or a very similar structure.

    • The photocurable resin composition in the first aspect of the invention comprises, as essential components, (A) a binder resin having photopolymerizable functional groups and (B) inorganic superfine particles in the order of sub-micron which can be dispersed in a colloidal form; the photocurable resin composition in the second aspect comprises, as essential components, (C) a binder resin containing photopolymerizable functional groups and (D) hydrophobic fine silica particles; and the photocurable resin composition in the third aspect comprises, as essential components, (E) a binder resin containing acrylic resin and urethane acrylate resin and/or polyester acrylate having photopolymerizable functional groups and (F) an organometallic coupling agent. These photocurable resin compositions are excellent not only in fitting to the shape of a cavity in a stamper complementary to a finely embossed pattern on an optical article, thus enabling rapidly and accurately shaping a finely embossed pattern, but also in form retention after shaping and resistance to blocking, thus enabling exposure to light after removal of the stamper and storage in a rolled form to achieve excellent successive producibility.
