摘要： A composition forming coated films having an excellent chipping resistance, containing:A. at least one polyester resin derived from (1) at least one acid component selected from the group consisting of dibasic acids and derivatives thereof and (2) at least one alcohol component selected from the group consisting of polyhydric alcohols and derivatives thereof; andB. at least one aminoplast resin having a number-average molecular weight of 800 to 1400,The polyester resin containing at least 20% by weight of the acid component being an aliphatic dibasic acid having 4 to 10 carbon atoms and at least 20% by weight of the alcohol component being a dihydric alcohol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, the polyester resin having a number-average molecular weight of 2000 to 4000, a hydroxyl number of 30 to 75 and an acid number of 5 to 15.The weight ratio of the polyester resin to the aminoplast resin is 60/40 to 95/5. The coated film of the coating composition has an elongation of 20% to 100% and a static glass transition temperature of -10.degree. C. to 20.degree. C.This coating composition also contains 2% to 20% by weight of ultrafine talc powder, 2% to 40% by weight of ultrafine barium sulfate powder or 2% to 40% by weight of a mixture of ultrafine talc and ultrafine barium sulfate, each based on the total solid amount of the coating composition.

摘要： The present invention provides a low viscosity curable resin composition and coating composition containing the same which has a decreased solvent content. The coating composition provides a cured film having not only excellent acid resistance but also good weather resistance and mar resistance without an adverse effect to the environment. The curable resin composition comprises (a) a hydroxyl and carboxyl group containing silicone polymer, (b) a carboxyl and carboxylate group containing polymer, and (c) a hydroxyl and epoxy group containing polymer.

The composition is applied wet-on-wet a metallic color base coat having a similar composition containing the microgel particles and a metallic flake pigment, and cured simultaneously with the base coat.

摘要： Multilayer metallic coating is formed on a substrate by applying a base coating composition containing a metallic pigment, applying a clear top coating composition on the base coating wet-on-wet, and curing both coatings simultaneously. The coating compositions contain a film-forming polymer having a plurality of crosslinkable function groups, a crosslinker an organic liquid diluent, internally crosslinked polymer microparticles and an organic acid catalyst masked with an organic base capable of accelerating the crosslinking reaction between the film-forming polymer and the crosslinker.
