The inhaler comprises a foil cutter arranged for opening a dry, moisture-tight seal formed by a dose container with tiotropium particles and a seal foil fixed to the container. The tiotropium-containing dose protected from moisture ingress by the moisture-tight barrier seal is loaded in the container using volumetric or electric field dose forming techniques.

摘要： A method for administration and preparation of pharmaceutical dry powder doses are disclosed. The metered dry powder doses are formed from a finely divided dry powder of an selected anticholinergic agent to be used in a dry powder inhaler device. The metered dry powder medicinal dose is arranged as a medicinally effective quantity of the selected medicament onto a dose bed and moisture-tight sealed by using a high barrier seal, for introduction into an inhaler device provided with an Air-razor device for obtaining a fine particle fraction, FPF, of at least 30-50% of delivered powder mass when suction through the inhaler is applied, whereby the dose is delivered to and deposited in the lung of the user during a single inhalation effort.

摘要： The present invention discloses pharmaceutical dry powder combined doses for the administration by inhalation of metered dry powder combined doses of finely divided dry medication powders. Formoterol and an anticholinergic agent are selected medicaments for forming the combined doses. Metered dry powder medicinal combined doses comprising separately metered deposits of medicinally suitable quantities of each of the selected medicaments are prepared, in which the sum of the metered deposits constitutes the metered quantities of powder of the combined doses and the medicinal combined doses are introduced into an adapted inhaler device for a generally simultaneous or sequential delivery of the medicinal combined doses during the course of a single inhalation by a user, such that each one of the delivered medicinal combined doses is composed of a high proportion of de-aggregated fine particles of the selected medicament or medicaments, whereby a desired therapeutic or treating effect to the user is achieved.
