摘要： A hands-free towel dispenser for dispensing a measured sheet from a roll of towel material includes a housing having an internal volume so as to retain at least one roll of towel material therein. An electronically powered dispensing mechanism is contained within the housing for dispensing a measured sheet from the roll of towel material upon actuation of the dispensing mechanism. A sensor is contained within the housing to detect an object placed within a detection zone of the sensor. Control circuitry is configured with the sensor and dispensing mechanism to initiate a dispense cycle upon detection of an object by the sensor. The sensor is disposed relative to the housing such that the detection zone is defined substantially below a bottom surface of the housing requiring that an object must be placed at a location below the housing to be detected by the sensor.

摘要： An apparatus for dispensing and cutting measured amounts from a roll of web material includes a roll carrier disposed within a housing. A rotatable drum is disposed proximate to the roll carrier, with the roll carrier being biased towards the drum so that the web material carried by the roll carrier is frictionally engaged against the drum. The drum thus rotates upon a free end of the web material being pulled from the housing. The cutting mechanism is movably mounted within the housing external of the rotatable drum. The cutting mechanism is engaged by the drum along a portion of the rotational arc of the drum and is moved by the drum to a cutting position wherein a blade carried by the cutting mechanism moves across the conveying path of the web material and cuts the web material.

A dispensing orifice is defined in the pump chamber. A pump mechanism is configured with the pump chamber and is movable from a rest to a pressurizing position upon actuation thereof to pressurize liquid within the pump chamber. A check valve mechanism is disposed in the opening. A restriction device is disposed in the dispensing orifice and maintains a closed configuration to prevent leakage of liquid from the dispensing orifice. The restriction device opens upon sufficient liquid pressure build-up within the pump chamber upon actuation of the pump mechanism. The restriction device also may vent the pump chamber upon release of the pump mechanism.

Often, the product to be dispensed will be a viscous liquid, such as soap, waterless hand cleaner, waterless hand sanitizer or skin lotion. A dispenser made according to the invention includes a product container having a mounting element, such as a mounting clip, located thereon. In many cases, the mounting element will be oriented such that the product container will be inverted when worn on the body of a user. In addition, the mounting element may be removable from the product container so that a new product container can be substituted when the contents of a prior product container are depleted. According to another advantageous aspect of the invention, multiple product containers of different types may be used with a common mounting element. Various interlocking arrangements are contemplated to effect the removable securement of the mounting element to the product container.

The dispenser arrangement includes a product container, and a holster device adapted to carry the product container. Typically, the product container will be carried in the holster device in an inverted orientation. The holster device includes mounting structure, such as a mounting clip, which attaches to the clothing of a user. An adapter element may be provided so that the holster device can be mounted, via the mounting structure, to a stationary surface. Preferably, the holster device is specially configured so that only a small portion of the product container's outer surface is obstructed. Often, the product to be dispensed will be a viscous liquid, such as soap, waterless hand cleaner, waterless hand sanitizer or skin lotion. A dispensing pressure applied to the flexible sidewall of the product container causes the viscous liquid to be dispensed.
