摘要： A variable output planetary gear set includes an input shaft, and input gear affixed to the input shaft so as to rotate with a rotation of the input shaft, a brake rotor, a rotor input gear affixed to the brake rotor, a planetary gear set, an output shaft cooperative with the planetary gear set, and an electromechanical brake cooperative with the brake rotor so as to selectively apply a braking force so as to slow a rotation of the rotor input gear. The electromechanical brake is, in particular, an eddy current brake. 摘要： A resource allocation framework for wireless/wired networks is described. In an embodiment, methods of end host based traffic management are described which operate separately from the underlying access control protocol within the network (e.g. wireless MAC protocol or TCP). The rate limits for each flow are set based on per-flow weights, which may be user specified, and based on an estimate of the utilization of the shared resource and the rate limits are adjusted periodically so that the resource is not underutilized or saturated. Some embodiments compute a virtual capacity of the resource which is adjusted to optimize the value of the utilization and then the virtual capacity is shared between flows according to the per-flow weights. Methods for estimating the utilization of a wireless network and the capacity of a broadband access link are also described.

In another embodiment, the cleaning article includes a finger positioning portion defining first, second and third finger regions in a body portion of the article. The cleaning articles can be of a type that is intended for a single use (disposable), or of a type intended for more than one use.

摘要： A system and method for utilizing the locale-independence of virtual machine technology is employed to facilitate load imbalancing in support of power management. Arbitrary stateless or stateful workloads are migrated as virtual machines from a larger number of resources to a smaller number of resources so as to eliminate workload from some resources. These latter resources can then be placed into a lower-power state to reduce power consumption. When workload rises again, some or all of the lower-powered resources can be powered-on, and workload can be reapplied to them.
