摘要： Apparatus for making a grooved support member for carrying optical fibers having an extrusion die for forming a plastics sheath upon a strength member so as to form the support member. The die aperture has projections extending into it so as to form the grooves in the support member. To form the grooves into sinuous configuration, a twisting device is located upstream from the die. The twisting device comprises a plurality of gripping wheels on each side of the passline of the strength member, the gripping wheels staggered along the passline. The gripping wheels are rotatable alternately in opposite directions around the passline.

摘要： An automotive vehicle headlamp assembly is provided which includes a reflector housing having an open front end, a first reflector surface and a second surface projecting forward from the first reflector surface; a bulb connected to the housing projecting forward from the reflector surface providing a source of illumination; a lens covering the open end of the reflector housing; and a bulb shield having a first portion generally adjacent the bulb, blocking a portion of the illumination given off by the bulb. The bulb shield has a foot connected by a leg to the first portion. The foot has a front end captured between the lens and the reflector housing and a rear end captured in the intersection between the first and second reflector surfaces.

摘要： A vehicle headlamp assembly is provided which includes a bulb; a reflector housing mounting the bulb; at least one rod pivotally connected to the housing; an adjuster body encircling the rod and threadably engaged therewith, the adjuster body having an insertion end generally opposite the reflector housing and a slot on the insertion end; a vehicle panel with an aperture for receipt of the adjuster body insertion end; and a slider mounted for relative movement with respect to the panel. The slider has an aperture with a first dimension for receipt of the insertion end of the adjuster body, and the slider aperture has a second end with a smaller dimension for encircling the adjuster body adjacent the slot. Thus, movement of the slider from a first position aligning the slot aperture first end with the panel aperture allows insertion or removal of the insertion end of the adjuster body, and movement of the slider to a second position allowing the slider aperture second end to align with the panel aperture retains the adjuster body with the vehicle panel, thereby attaching the reflector body to the vehicle.
