    • A flush mounted hinge assembly for use in applications where the hinges are to be fully concealed and where the doors abut one another or an adjacent structural member, includes a cabinet mounted bracket, a door mounted bracket, and a housing pivotally mounted to the cabinet bracket. The movement of the door accomplished in two stages, with initial pivoting being handled by a parallelogram-type linkage interconnecting the housing with the door mounted bracket, and permitting initial outward movement of the door to clear the adjacent door or abutting cabinet structure. Subsequently, as the door opens wider, a control member attached to the parallelogram linkage permits relative movement of the housing and the cabinet mounted bracket member, to permit full pivoting of the housing relative to the cabinet bracket, under control of a cam and cam follower linkage associated with the parallelogram mounting, following initial restraint of the housing against pivoting while the door is at a relatively small angle relative to the cabinet. To permit final movement of the door at angles between 90 degrees and 180 degrees, the pivot point of at least one of the parallelogram members may be permitted to shift, while the entire door continues to rotate to an additional angular orientation. The pivot point is arranged so that at limited angles is restrained from any lateral shifting, whereas beyond a certain angular orientation, the pivot point may shift laterally.

    • A universal slide is disclosed herein for mounting on the rear underside of pull drawer for slidably mounting any size drawer on a channel in a cabinet. The slide includes a delta shaped slide or guide member or body having a central strip normally biased downwardly and pointing to the rear and terminating in a beveled hooked end. The underside of the body is provided with downwardly depending guides for slidable engagement with the opposing surfaces of a pair of rails carried by the channel, while the hooked end of the strip extends into the channel between the rails thereof. A stop member is carried on the channel near its outer wall in engageable relationship to the hooked end for positively limiting sliding movement of the body along the channel during the procedure of withdrawing the drawer, with the length of the hook being exposed so that it may be pressed upwardly to release and remove the drawer. The delta shaped body is provided with an upwardly extending rear flange for overlying the rear of the drawer.

    • A universal and economical drawer slide is mounted on the rear underside of a pull drawer to engage a fixed cabinet side member or channel. The preferred embodiments disclosed in the present application are rectangular in shape and are intended for use with furniture-type drawers which have a recessed drawer back, with the thin bottom of the drawer secured into the recess in the drawer back. By making the drawer guide rectangular in configuration, it may be thinner at the rear and therefore may be used with a furniture-type drawer with a cutting away of only a short section in the center of the bottom of the drawer back. The cabinet guide members may be made of wood or of metal channels, and include laterally extending side rails which are engaged by the molded plastic drawer guide which is secured to the rear portion of the drawer. The drawer guide includes a generally rectangular flat, thin plastic body, with a flange which extends upwardly and over the outer side of the back portion of the drawer. Near the very rear of the drawer at the back of the drawer guide, it includes two laterally extending members to overly the laterally extending portions of the cabinet guide members. The plastic body also carries depending members along its length which engage the outer sides of the cabinet guides to maintain the drawer in alignment.

    • A cabinet drawer is provided with two drawer supports or rollers which are mounted near the front edge of the cabinet which supports the drawer, and below the edges of the drawer. The roller or support assembly includes a roller which is relatively flat and is mounted to rotate about an axis which is tilted inward toward the drawer by about 12 degrees. The upper surface of the roller is a relatively flat cone, and the roller rotates with the drawer in engagement with the horizontally extending outer portion of the upper conical surface of the roller. The support makes engagement with the lower surface of the flat roller, and is also provided with tabs for securing the roller assembly to the cabinet. The roller and its housing or support are held together by an axial member which may be a part of the roller, a part of the support, or a separate securing fastener. The roller and its housing should be of material having good wear qualities and low relative friction; for example, the roller may be of acetal resin, and the housing may be of high density polyethylene. Ball bearings may be provided between the roller and the housing; and the roller may be held in position by several retaining elements.
