    • To provide a motor including: an annular stator including permanent magnets and stator cores that are alternately arranged circumferentially, and coils; an annular outer-rotor being arranged outside the stator, having a rotational axis coincident with a central axis of the stator, and having first salient poles; and an annular inner-rotor being arranged inside the stator, having a rotational axis coincident with the central axis to rotate in conjunction with the outer-rotor, and having second salient poles equal in number to the first salient poles, the magnets are magnetized circumferentially and extend radially, and each have respective ends that are opened toward the outer-rotor and toward inner-rotor in the radial direction, the coils are each wound by concentrated-winding on a tooth constituted from a different one magnet and respective parts of two stator cores adjacent to the magnet, and the first and second salient poles are arranged at offset positions circumferentially.

    • A synchronous electric motor includes rotor having a plurality of radially-oriented magnetic dipoles and a stator. Stator teeth group with a plurality of sets of stator teeth are arranged in the same position in terms of an electrical angle with another stator teeth group to provide rotational symmetry about an axis of the rotor. In each of the stator teeth groups a predetermined number of stator teeth are arranged at intervals different from intervals of the rotor magnetic dipoles. A main coil is wound about a predetermined number of stator teeth with a sub-coil further wound around one or more a teeth. Phase and magnitude of a resulting magnetic field is adjusted by the number of loops of the main coil and sub-coil. A given stator tooth can produce maximum torque despite any difference between an alignment of the stator tooth and an inter-polar interval of the stator.

    • Disclosed are a synchronous motor having reduced torque ripple while having a high torque and system for driving the synchronous motor. The synchronous motor comprises a rotor (2) and a stator (3), and U-phase coils (91; 91a, 91b, and the like), V-phase coils (92; 92ab, and the like), and W-phase coils (93; 93ac and the like) are wound around sections of the yoke each located between two adjacent stator teeth (7; 7a, 7ab, and the like). The number of turns in each coil and the direction in which each coil is wound are set to compensate for a difference between a timing at which a magnetic field produced at each stator tooth is at a maximum value and a timing at which a point between magnetic poles (10, 11, 11, and the like) passes by the stator tooth as the rotor (2) rotates, the difference in timing being caused by a difference between the interval between the magnetic poles and the interval between the stator teeth.
