摘要： A compressor includes a casing, a compression mechanism, a drive shaft, a main frame, a motor, a flow path forming member, and a temperature measuring mechanism. The casing stores lubricating oil in its bottom portion. The main frame has the compression mechanism placed on it and supports the drive shaft in such a way that the drive shaft may freely rotate. The flow path forming member forms an oil flow path at a space adjacent an inner peripheral surface of the casing. The oil flow path carries a flow of lubricating oil, which lubricates sliding portions including the compression mechanism and the drive shaft. The temperature measuring mechanism is disposed outside the casing. The temperature measuring mechanism measures the temperature of a section of an outer peripheral surface of the casing adjacent the oil flow path.

摘要： A manufacturing method for a thin board-shaped fired piezoelectric body has: a step of manufacturing, using a piezoelectric material, a green sheet having a ratio T/L of 0.000002 to 0.2, where T is the thickness and L is the maximum length within the surface after firing; and a step of obtaining the thin board-shaped fired piezoelectric body with reinforcing members for firing by performing firing after disposing the reinforcing members for firing by scattering at least on one surface of the green sheet so as to exclude the areas to be the thin board-shaped fired piezoelectric body later. The piezoelectric body which has excellent planarity and a thin board shape can be manufactured at low cost by the method.

摘要： An ultrasonic motor piezoelectric actuator element uses a primary longitudinal mode and a secondary bending mode and includes a stacked piezoelectric element in which piezoelectric layers and electrode layers are stacked alternately in such a manner that the electrode layers divide the piezoelectric layers into two approximately equal portions. A piezoelectric inactive region is formed from the surface portion to the center portion in the thickness direction of the stacked piezoelectric element. The migration resistance of the piezoelectric actuator element is improved while suppressing a decrease in displacement so that a short circuit can be prevented and portions generating heat during alternating polarization can be dispersed, whereby reliability is increased. Moreover, the amount of electrode material used can be reduced, whereby cost can be reduced.

The method includes the steps of forming the piezoelectric/electrostrictive layer so that ends of the piezoelectric/electrostrictive layer are projected to extend beyond ends of at least one electrode, applying a coating liquid in a sufficient amount so that the coating liquid permeates through a gap between at least the projected end portion of the piezoelectric/electrostrictive layer and the substrate, and so as to coat a predetermined portion of the at least one electrode, and drying the applied coating liquid to form a coupling member to couple the projected end portions of the piezoelectric/electrostrictive layer to the substrate.

摘要： A vast buffer memory space capable of storing all of partial fingerprint images read by a sweep type fingerprint sensor is made unnecessary in generating feature information of a fingerprint. A fingerprint reading system includes a sweep type fingerprint sensor, a memory which stores partial fingerprint images read by the sensor, and a processor connected to the sensor. The processor includes an image acquisition unit which successively acquires partial fingerprint images read by the sweep type fingerprint sensor and preserves them in the memory, a position calculation unit which calculates position information of a partial fingerprint image, an image division unit which cuts out a unique unit image corresponding to an image region having a predetermined area from the partial fingerprint image on the basis of the position information, and a feature extraction unit which extracts feature information of the unit image.

摘要： A micropipette is provided including at least one substrate, an inlet port through which a sample is delivered from the outside, a cavity to be poured and filled with the sample, an introduction hole, and an injection port for expelling the sample are formed on the at least one substrate. The substrate for forming the cavity is made of ceramics, a piezoelectric/electrostrictive element is provided for at least one wall surface of the substrate, and the sample moves as a laminar flow in the cavity. The volume of the cavity is changed by driving the piezoelectric/electrostrictive element to expell a certain amount of the sample in the cavity from the injection port. According to the micropipette, it is possible to form microspots with high accuracy and high speed. According to a dispenser including the micropipette, it is possible to efficiently dispense hundreds to ten thousands of different samples at one time and form microspots. Therefore, productivity is remarkably improved.
