    • A keyless entry system for use with a mobile transmitter for transmitting an ID code specified therefor along with a command for vehicle door lock/unlock remote control to a control unit. The control unit is operable in an ID code registration mode for registering an ID code transmitted from the mobile transmitter. The transmitted ID code is compared with the registered ID code to permit the remote control specified by the transmitted command when the transmitted ID code is identical with the registered ID code. Upon completion of a first predetermined procedure including a plurality of sequential events of at least one first movable vehicle member provided on the vehicle, a second movable vehicle member is changed from a first position to a second position. The control unit is placed in the ID code registration mode upon the sequential occurrence of three events of (1) the second movable member is changed to the second position, (2) the ignition key is placed in a predetermined position within the key receptacle and (3) the second movable member is returned to the first position in this order.

    • A pitch angle calculating device includes a height sensor 11 arranged in either one of a front position Pf and the rear position Pr separated from the front position Pf by a predetermined distance w, detecting either one of a front vehicle height hf and a rear vehicle height hr and a controller 7 calculating a pitch angle of the vehicle on the basis of the detected vehicle height hr, the predetermined distance w and a designated virtual height hfk established as the other vehicle height hr which is not detected by the height sensor 11. The designated virtual height hfk is corrected into a corrected height (hfk+&agr;) by both number and positions of passengers on the vehicle and both weight and position of loads on the vehicle in advance of calculating the pitch angle by the controller 7. If only providing the height sensor 11 in either one of the front position Pf and the rear position Pr against changes in number and position of passengers or weight and position of loads on the vehicle, it is possible to calculate the accurate pitch angle, so that the manufacturing cost of the device can be reduced.

    • When the opened condition of the either door is detected after the detection of the closed condition of all the doors and the detection of the locked condition of the driver seat door, the plurality of actuators are lock-driven even when the locked condition of the driver seat door is detected in the agreed judgment between the received code and the set code. A history flag setting unit is provided for setting the history flag in the locked condition of the door locking actuators of the driver seat and the opened condition of the either door of the vehicle.
