摘要： A first folding portion includes: a first folding roller pair consisting of a common roller and a first roller; and a blade member that feeds a sheet to a first nip, thereby forming a first fold on the sheet in the first nip. A second folding portion includes a second folding roller pair consisting of the common roller and a second roller, thereby forming a second fold on the sheet in a second nip. The common roller and the first roller are parallel in a conveying direction in a case where the sheet is guided toward the first folding portion. A feeding portion evacuates the sheet to the evacuation guiding portion for evacuating the sheet that on which the first fold is formed, switches back the sheet, and then feeds the sheet into the second nip.

摘要： A sheet feeding device includes a sheet accommodating portion for accommodating a sheet stack. A sheet carrying plate carries the sheet stack and has an upstream end supported in the sheet accommodating portion for rotation. A pickup roller contacts an upper face of the sheet stack and dispatches an uppermost sheet. An elevator displaces the sheet carrying plate between a feeding position where the upper face of the sheet stack contacts the pickup roller and a separating position where the upper face of the sheet stack is separated from the pickup roller. A first warm air mechanism blows warm air toward a side of the sheet stack in the sheet accommodating portion, the side being parallel to the sheet feeding direction. A controller controls the elevator so that the sheet carrying plate is displaced between the feeding position and the separating position during a warm air blowing operation.

摘要： A sheet-handling device comprising an intermediate conveyer passage, an intermediate tray, introduction rollers, conveying rollers and a controller. The controller rotates the introduction rollers and the conveying rollers forward and reverse so as to convey two pieces of sheets successively introduced into the intermediate conveyer passage until their trailing ends separate away from the introduction rollers. The conveying rollers are halted in a state where the leading ends are nipped. After the leading ends of the two pieces of sheets have been nipped in an overlapped manner by the conveying rollers, the conveying rollers are rotated forward to convey the two pieces of overlapped sheets into the intermediate tray.

摘要： An image forming apparatus according to the present invention comprises three units, that is, an image forming unit 40, a fixing unit 60, and a transfer unit 50. The three units are mounted on a main frame 10 with a positional relationship upon being positioned therebetween. The image forming unit 40 is fixed to a predetermined position with respect to the main frame 10. Further, the main frame 10 comprises a positioning pin 14 arranged in a predetermined positional relationship with the image forming unit 40. The fixing unit 60 and the transfer unit 50 are positioned upon being engaged with the positioning pin 14. Consequently, there is no shift in position among the image forming unit 40, the transfer unit 50, and the fixing unit 60. The three units can be correctly mounted on the main frame 10.
