摘要： To provide an epoxy-resin composition and prepreg for producing a fiber-reinforced composite material which exhibits excellent curability and has excellent flame retardance and heat resistance, as well as to provide fiber-reinforced composite materials produced using the prepreg and to provide housing for electronic/electrical devices. The epoxy resin composition contains component (A): a phosphorus compound; component (B): an epoxy resin which has at least three epoxy groups in the molecule, and which does not correspond to component (A) nor include component (A); component (C): an epoxy resin curing agent which does not have a urea structure in the molecule; and component (D): a dimethylurea compound represented by formula (a) (in formula (a), “R” is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having any number of 1 to 10 carbons).

摘要： A non-aqueous ink-jet ink which has printability on non-absorbing recording media such as polyvinyl chloride (abrasion resistance and water resistance), is excellent in ejection stability and safety, is free from problems concerning odor, does not cause operational abnormality in an ink-jet head even in long-term use, and can be stably used even after long-term storage. Also provided is a method of ink-jet recording with the ink. This non-aqueous ink-jet ink comprises a pigment, a binder resin, and an organic solvent. It is characterized in that at least 60 mass % of the organic solvent is accounted for by a water-soluble organic solvent and that the content in the ink of a metal salt which is the highest in content among the salts of metals selected among sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium is 3-50 ppm in terms of metal-ion concentration.

摘要： The present invention relates to an epoxy resin composition which comprises a phosphorus-containing modified epoxy resin (A) consisting of a compound (a) represented by Formula (a); a novolak epoxy resin (B); a hardener (C) for epoxy resins; and a metal hydroxide (D), wherein the content in mass % of the phosphorus-containing modified epoxy resin (A), CA, and the content in mass % of the metal hydroxide (D), CD, relative to the total amount of the epoxy resin composition, satisfy the following Formulas (1), (2), and (3): (1) 2.5CA+CD≧5; (2) 6≦CA≦40; and (3) 3≦CD≦30. This epoxy resin composition can give a composite material which has excellent flame retardancy even when neither a halogenated flame retardant, nor red phosphorus, nor a phosphoric acid ester is contained therein. According to the invention, it is also possible to provide a prepreg and a fiber-reinforced composite material obtained using the prepreg.

摘要： Provided are: a carbon fiber bundle which has a large value of single-fiber fineness and excellent productivity and which, despite this, contains few interlaced single fibers therein and has excellent spreadability; and precursor fibers which are suitable for use in producing the carbon fiber bundle. The precursor fibers are a carbon-fiber-precursor acrylic fiber bundle which comprises a polyacrylonitrile copolymer comprising 95-99 mol % acrylonitrile units and 1-5 mol % hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate units and which has a single-fiber fineness of 1.5-5.0 dtex. In the acrylic fiber bundle, the cross-section of each single fiber which is perpendicular to the fiber axis has a shape that has a roundness of 0.9 or less. The roundness is a value determined using equation (1) where S and L are the cross-sectional area and the circumferential length, respectively, of a single fiber which are obtained by examining, with an SEM, the cross-section of the single fiber which is perpendicular to the fiber axis and analyzing the obtained image.
