摘要： A positional detection system employs a transmitter of a stream of coded fluid pressure wave pulses connected by a waveguide to a plurality of outlets arranged adjacent various operative machine elements whereby movement of any of these elements varies the effective output of fluid pressure wave signals from an associated outlet. A common receiver is employed to respond to the fluid pressure wave pulses emanating from any of the outlets associated to identify the particular outlet and thus the machine element with which the pulses are associated by means of the coding employed. The fluid pressure waves are essentially nondirectional and both transmitter and receiver may incorporate fluidic devices.

摘要： A valve including a housing defining a chamber having an outlet for delivering a pressurized fluid supply or transmitting a fluid pressure signal to an external position. The chamber is connected with two ports in a wall of the housing alternatively opened and closed electromagnetically. A plate abuts the housing wall and has an inlet and exhaust ports therein. A gasket is positioned between the plate and the housing wall and has apertures therein by which each of the ports in the housing wall is connected with one or other of the ports in the plate, the apertures in the gasket being so arranged that the connections between the ports in the housing wall and the plate respectively are interchangeable by inverting the gasket.

The control circuit is preferably pneumatic and controls pneumatically operable elements. The circuit includes means for sensing the operative state of the machine, and two selectors indexable to a variety of positions to select energisation of the sensing means and to select machine elements for operation in the required sequence. An indexing means is arranged to index the selector means sequentially through their indexed positions.

摘要： A manually-adjustable pressure regulator having a pair of resiliently interconnected pistons of which one acts directly on a valve member which controls flow of a pressurised fluid and the other piston is movable by an operating spindle to open or close the valve member. A chamber is defined between the other piston and the adjacent end of the housing into which fluid is applied when the valve is open. The pressure of fluid applied to the chamber is such that the force applied to the other piston substantially balances the reaction of the valve on the other piston whereby the effort required to move the operating spindle is independent of the reaction of the valve.
