    • In a closed-loop monitoring system, a host device is operable to output encoded signals at a coupling side to a single transmission line. Each of monitoring devices includes: a current inducting generating unit generating induced encoded signals when the encoded signals pass through a signal current generating element coupled across an input side coupled to the transmission line; a control unit identifying a monitoring signal from the induced encoded signals generated by the current inducting generating unit; and a detecting unit detecting, in response to the monitoring signal, whether each of electronic devices coupled thereto is activated ox deactivated and transmitting a reply signal associated with states of the electronic devices to the transmission line based on a detection result made thereby. The host device receives the reply signal from each monitoring device through the transmission line and the coupling side to obtain state information associated with the electronic devices.

    • A mobile digital video recorder (MDVR) has a hollow shell, two board tracks, two brackets, a main board, power board, VSM board, and a storage device. The board tracks and the brackets are attached securely in the shell. The main board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The power board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The VSM board is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the tracks. The storage device is mounted slidably and detachably in the shell via the brackets. Therefore, the main board, power board, VSM board and the storage device are easily pulled out from the shell for repairing, replacing, or upgrading to new technology.

    • A power system for managing charging, discharging and protection of rechargeable batteries is disclosed. The power system mainly includes a power system. The power system includes a switching circuit coupled to the rechargeable batteries to charge and discharge the rechargeable batteries. The power system includes a power management unit to control the switching circuit. The power system includes a temperature sensing circuit to monitor a temperature of the batteries, voltage detectors to monitor voltages of the batteries, and current detectors to monitor a current of the batteries. If an abnormal condition is sensed by the power management unit when the power system is in an operating mode, the power management unit will terminate the operating mode by switching off the switching circuit to protect the batteries and the power system.
