The interactive televisions systems may have different user equipment arrangements for supporting one or more POD modules. The POD modules may provide a user of the interactive television system with access to various programs and services. The POD module may also implement a back-channel communications link with a service provider. The POD module may also receive modules which may upgrade the hardware or software of the interactive television system.

A packaging element preferably extends beyond the dispensing region of the reservoir, the packaging element being designed in that region in such a way that it interacts with a seal of the dispensing opening of the reservoir. The reservoir or packaging element may be designed as a free-standing package.
