The housing includes first to third card storage portions having insertion ports open to one side surface of the housing, respectively, for card-like electronic components. A first cover is provided on the housing and rotatable between a closed position wherein the insertion port of the first card storage portion is closed by the first cover and an opened position wherein the insertion port of the first card storage portion open. A second cover is provided on the housing to be movable between a closed position wherein the first cover located in the closed position and the insertion ports of the second and third card storage portions are covered with the second cover and an opened position wherein the first cover and the insertion ports of the second and third card storage portions are exposed.

摘要： A portable computer includes a housing and a keyboard unit mounted on the housing. A display unit is mounted on the housing to be movable between a closed position wherein the keyboard unit is covered by the display unit and a desired opened position wherein the keyboard is exposed. A latch mechanism for locking the display unit in the closed position is provided at the display unit. The mechanism includes a pair of latch hooks rockable between a latch position wherein each hook engages a latch hole of the housing and a release position wherein each hook is disengaged form the housing, and an interlocking member, movable together with the latch hooks. A sliding member is slidably attached to each latch hook so as to be movable between a restricted position, wherein the sliding member is situated in the latch hole to restrict disengagement of the hook, and a retracted position, wherein the sliding member is retracted from the latch hole. When an operator begins to move the latch hooks toward the release position, the interlocking member slides the sliding members to the retracted position, allowing the latch hooks to continue on toward the release position. When a combination lock attached to the display unit is engaged, movement of the interlocking member is restricted by the lock and the hooks are locked in the latch position.

A panel, including an array of expansion connectors exposed through a rear opening in the lower housing unit and wired to the PC board, provides support for a holder of components, such as a speaker, LED indicators, etc., accommodated in the hollow ridge. Gaps in the hollow ridge are adapted for hinge-mounting an LCD, with LCD cabling passing through a channel in the hollow ridge en route to the PCB board.

A unit holder holds the detachable unit in the storing portion, the unit holder being slidably connected to the detachable unit and including an engaging member movable between an engaging position and a release position. In the engaging position, the engaging member engages the engagement portion to hold the detachable unit in the storing portion. In the release position, the engaging member is disengaged from the engagement portion. An insertion opening may be provided in the storing portion of the body through which the detachable unit is detachably stored, and a cover may be provided to cover the insertion opening when the detachable unit is stored in the storing portion.

摘要： A portable apparatus comprises a housing having an opening portion, a pack receptacle formed in the housing, and a battery pack detachably contained in the pack receptacle through the opening portion. The pack receptacle has a slider for maintaining the battery pack at the pack receptacle. The slider is movable between a lock position and a lock releasing position, and maintained at the lock position through a spring. The slider has an insertion port, an engaging portion, a first cam portion, and a second cam portion. The insertion port is formed such that a convex portion of the battery pack is detachably inserted therethrough to be continuous to the opening portion. The engaging portion is formed to be engaged with the convex portion when the slider is moved to the lock position. The first cam portion connects the engaging portion to the insertion port, and slidably comes in contact with the convex portion when said slider is moved to the lock releasing position from the lock position, thereby pressing the convex portion to the insertion port thereby partially lifting the battery pack form the pack receptacle. The second cam portion is formed at a portion continuous to the insertion port, and the second cam portion slidably comes in contact with the convex portion when the pack device is inserted to the pack receptacle, thereby moving the slider to the lock releasing position from the lock position.

摘要： A portable computer includes a housing and a display unit. The display unit is attached to the housing to be movable between a closed position and an opened position. The portable unit may also include a keyboard which can be covered by the display when the display is in the closed position. A circuit board is proximate to the bottom wall of the housing. A shield plate for magnetically shielding the circuit board is disposed inside the housing proximate to the circuit board and can be between the circuit board and the keyboard if a keyboard is provided. At least one supporting member extends from the bottom face of the shielding plate and abuts the circuit board to prevent the keyboard unit, if one is provided, from bending toward the circuit board. The shield plate may include an edge which is supported on the housing. The portable computer may also include bosses positioned between the bottom wall of the housing and the circuit board.
