    • Provided is a liquid crystal display device which has a structure, in which a light shielding film is disposed on a color filter substrate corresponding to a position facing a TFT, and among a plurality of colored layers which form the color filter, a blue-colored layer and colored layers of colors other than blue are laminated on the light shielding film. With the structure as described above, the laminated colored layers reduce light which enters the TFT, and hence a leak current of the TFT can be prevented from occurring. Accordingly, a contrast or display quality of the liquid crystal display device can be prevented from deteriorating.
