    • A step flashing bending device comprises a supporting a lower press block and an upper press block thereon for movement relative to one another for bending blank metal sheets into step flashing therebetween. The press blocks have working surfaces which are elongate in a longitudinal direction extending at a downward inclination from a top end to a bottom end thereof. The frame and the press blocks are open at the bottom end such that the working surfaces are arranged to automatically release the step flashing from the frame between the bottom ends of the upper and lower press blocks under force of gravity when the press blocks are separated into an open position.

    • A rigid insulating body is mounted within a standing seam roof structure formed of roof supporting elements and roof panels spanning across the roof supporting elements. The body is suited for extending along a top side of a roof supporting element between an adjacent pair of roof panel mounting clips to occupy a vertical space between the top side of the roof supporting element and the bottom side of the roof panels. Blanket insulation spanning between the roof supporting elements and the roof panels is typically compressed at each roof supporting element by roof panel mounting clips fastened through the insulation from the roof panels to the roof supporting elements. The body is trapezoidal with sides which diverge from bottom to top so as to occupy the area of the blanket insulation compressed by the mounting clips at each roof supporting element.

    • A replacement exterior surface, for example a replacement roof, is supported by a retrofit system including wooden structural members of dimensional lumber and mountings clips, so as to span over an existing exterior supporting surface of a building, for example an existing roof. The mounting clips each have a base portion for being fastened through the exterior supporting surface onto respective underlying structural members of the building and a channel portion receiving a respective portion of the wooden structural members therein. The mounting clips are arranged to support the wooden structural members to span parallel and spaced apart from one another in a substantially common plane outwardly from the exterior supporting surface of the building for supporting the replacement exterior surface material thereon.
