    • The inventive force measuring cell consists of a plate (2) which is provided with a circular hole (2), the axis of which is perpendicular to the surface of said plate (2) and to the direction of the force that is to be measured. The originally circular hole (3) is deformed into an ellipse. The measuring transducer (12) consists of a measuring transformer with an oscillating string.

A force sensor (4) is diagonally installed at half the length of guide section (1). When platform (5) is loaded, tensile force acts upon force sensor (4) (see FIG. 1).

    • A weight transducer including an extruded housing having upper and lower inner surfaces. Affixed to the upper inner surface is a hall effect magnetic field sensor, and affixed to the lower inner surface is a pair of magnetic field generating magnets. The magnets are arranged with magnetic poles of opposite polarity located adjacent one another. The hall effect sensor senses changes in the magnetic field generated by the pair of magnets due to relative movement between the upper and lower inner surfaces with application of weight to the housing. The voltage output of the hall effect sensor is converted to a signal having a frequency which varies in proportion to the weight applied to the housing. The hall effect weight transducer provides a very rugged and relatively inexpensive yet highly accurate weight transducer.

    • The parallel guide of an elastic force reducing dynamometer comprises a frame secured to a base plate, two essentially parallel plates, a load carrier, and four elastic tie joints. The load carrier supports a balance pan for receiving weights. A load-carrying element is clamped between the upper end of the load carrier and the lower end of the frame. Compressive force exerted on the load carrier is converted into an electric signal. The parallel guide is manufactured from a single piece, for example by profile extrusion or wire erosion. In an alternate embodiment of the invention, the load-carrying element is clamped between the lower end of the load carrier and the upper end of the frame. Tensile force exerted on the load carrier is converted into an electric signal.
