Individual fasteners (121) are selectively obtained from the stock (111) by cutting or separating the side members (113-1) and (113-2) at appropriate points (i.e., midway) between the cross-links or filaments (115). Accordingly, each fastener (121) will include a first cross-bar (123-1), which has been cut from side member (113-1), and a second cross-bar (123-2), which has been cut from side member (113-2), the cross-bars (123-1) and (123-2) being interconnected by the flexible filament (115). 摘要： There is disclosed an electrode array architecture employing continuous and discontinuous circumferential electrodes. There is further disclosed a process for the neutralization of acid generated at anode(s) by base generated at cathode(s) circumferentially located to each other so as to confine a region of pH change. The cathodes can be displayed as concentric rings (continuous) or as counter electrodes in a cross pattern (discontinuous). In this way reagents, such as acid, generated in a center electrode are countered (neutralized) by reagents, such as base, generated at the corners or at the outer ring.

摘要： Briefly, an engine is provided that has a cavity constructed to enable a working liquid to be vaporized upon contact with a hot liquid. As the working liquid is vaporized, the liquid rapidly expands into a vigorous gas. The ensuing rise in pressure causes a moving member to be moved, thereby converting the explosive rise in pressure within the cavity into useful work. In one embodiment, the engine is a piston engine that allows a hot liquid oil to be injected into a piston cavity. Water is then injected, which immediately flashes into steam as the water hits the hot oil. The steam causes the pressure to dramatically rise in the piston cavity, thereby driving the piston.

摘要： The invention is directed to compositions and methods of their use as effective biocidal agents for water streams. The composition comprises a halogen source, halogen stabilizers containing a sulfur bearing species and ammonium salts/urea, and an alkali. The sulfur bearing species includes sulfamic acid or its salt equivalent. By having optimized mixing ratio of halogen to stabilizer and that of ammonium salts to sulfamic acid or sulfamate, a synergistic effect occurs which both increases the efficacy of the composition as a biocide and it avoids adverse impacts on other chemicals that are present in the water stream. Best of all the composition is easy to form and easy to introduce into a water stream of concern. Its introduction can be as simple as mixing two containers of reagent prior to introduction to the water process stream.
