The compositions, such as multifunctional mixed metal olivines, provide an electrochemical cell having a plurality of open circuit voltages at different states of charge. The compositions afford improved state-of-charge monitoring, overcharge protection and/or overdischarge protection for lithium ion batteries.

摘要： There is provided a method for liquid mixing supply fabricating a mixed etching solution in which sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, ultra pure water and hydrofluoric act are mixed together. The method includes: supplying a specific liquid chemical to a mixing tank such that it is mixed in ppm units; and supplying at least two liquid chemicals and a ultra pure water to the mixing tank at a predetermined ratio, and mixing them, wherein starting points of supplying the at least two liquid chemicals and the ultra pure water are different from each other. Since the starting points of supplying the sulfuric acid, the hydrogen peroxide, and the ultra pure water are different, it is possible to minimize the heat generation due to the reaction between the sulfuric acid with the hydrogen peroxide.

摘要： Solid battery components are provided. A block copolymeric electrolyte is non-crosslinked and non-glassy through the entire range of typical battery service temperatures, that is, through the entire range of at least from about 0° C. to about 70° C. The chains of which the copolymer is made each include at least one ionically-conductive block and at least one second block immiscible with the ionically-conductive block. The chains form an amorphous association and are arranged in an ordered nanostructure including a continuous matrix of amorphous ionically-conductive domains and amorphous second domains that are immiscible with the ionically-conductive domains. A compound is provided that has a formula of LixMyNzO2. M and N are each metal atoms or a main group elements, and x, y and z are each numbers from about 0 to about 1. y and z are chosen such that a formal charge on the MyNz portion of the compound is (4-x). In certain embodiments, these compounds are used in the cathodes of rechargeable batteries. The present invention also includes methods of predicting the potential utility of metal dichalgogenide compounds for use in lithium intercalation compounds. It also provides methods for processing lithium intercalation oxides with the structure and compositional homogeneity necessary to realize the increased formation energies of said compounds. An article is made of a dimensionally-stable, interpenetrating microstructure of a first phase including a first component and a second phase, immiscible with the first phase, including a second component. The first and second phases define interphase boundaries between them, and at least one particle is positioned between a first phase and a second phase at an interphase boundary. When the first and second phases are electronically-conductive and ionically-conductive polymers, respectively, and the particles are ion host particles, the arrangement is an electrode of a battery.

摘要： A polymer electrolyte including a polymer fiber having a nanoscale diameter, wherein the polymer fiber is fabricated by an electrospinning method and a solar cell device exhibiting high energy conversion efficiency using the same. The solid-state electrolyte comprising such nanosized polymer fiber does not need a sealing agent and further simplifies the entire process compared to a conventional dye-sensitized solar cell using liquid electrolytes. Specifically, the energy conversion efficiency of the present dye-sensitized solar cell is significantly superior to that of a dye-sensitized solar cell using a polymer film electrolyte fabricated by a spin coating method. Further, the present dye-sensitized solar cell device can be obtained by using a scattering layer and compensating the surface effect.

The method may involve forming an electrode layer on a transparent substrate, stacking a light shielding layer on the transparent substrate such that the light shielding layer is located on an outside of the electrode layer, stacking a mask on the light shielding layer and the electrode layer, forming a conductive layer on the mask, forming connecting lines for connecting the electrode layer and connecting terminals by removing the mask and a portion of the conductive layer, and forming the connecting terminals on the light shielding layer such that the connecting terminals contact the connecting lines.
