摘要： An array substrate of an LCD having: a gate line formed along a first direction; a data line formed along a second direction crossing the first direction; first and second pixel electrodes spaced apart from each other; a thin-film transistor includes a gate electrode connected to the gate line; a source electrode connected to the data line and partially overlapping the second pixel electrode; and a drain electrode connected to the first pixel electrode spaced apart from the second pixel electrode along the second direction. The source electrode or the gate electrode overlaps the second pixel electrode but the drain electrode does not overlap the second pixel electrode. Electrical coupling between the first and second pixel electrodes are avoided with such configuration.

摘要： A panel assembly for a display device and a display device having the panel assembly are provided. The panel assembly for a display device includes a display region including a plurality of pixels and most of display signal lines connected to the pixels, a plurality of repair lines disposed in a shape of a ring in a peripheral region outside of the display region, and first to third auxiliary repair lines disposed in the peripheral region in parallel to data lines. An additional auxiliary repair line is provided at a right side of each of the data driving IC regions. By doing so, occurrence of disconnection and success in repairing the disconnected data lines of a display penal which is mounted in a COG scheme is tested by using a TCP type of test unit, so that it is possible to greatly reduce production costs involved in the COG type test unit.

摘要： A display substrate includes a source pad part, a plurality of storage wirings and a first voltage wiring. The source pad part includes a first voltage input pad receiving a storage common voltage. The storage wirings transmit the storage common voltage to a plurality of pixels. The first voltage wiring is connected to the first voltage input pad to be extended in a direction crossing the storage wirings. The first voltage wiring includes a first protrusion part overlapping a first end portion of each of the storage wirings. Therefore, defects of the display substrate may be detected by an electrical test and then repaired, and test efficiency of the display substrate may be enhanced.

The polymer resin is mixed with the solvent to have a weight percent ranging from about 4% to about 8% and includes an amic acid monomer having an amino group in one example. The cross-linking agent is mixed with the solvent to have a weight percent ranging from about 2% to about 20% and includes a diepoxy group which reacts with the amino group in one example. The liquid crystal display comprises two substrates facing each other, and an alignment layer formed at a top surface of at least one of the two substrates. The alignment layer is formed by curing the alignment material.

摘要： The present invention relates to an LCD that has a first panel, a second panel, a sealant, and a liquid crystal layer between the two panels. The first panel includes a pad provided in a first part of a non-display region and a dummy metal pattern provided in a second part of the non-display region along a circumference of a display region. The second panel is positioned opposite the first panel so that the two panels sandwich the liquid crystal layer. A sealant is formed on the pad and the dummy metal pattern and couples the first panel with the second panel. Thus, an LCD described herein has a uniform cell gap. A method of fabricating an LCD that has a uniform cell gap is also disclosed.
