    • Provided is a method for controlling a low-power state in a mobile handset. The method includes shifting from an active state to a low-power idle state by blocking power of modules for a mobile communication function and decreasing a frequency of a control clock when an inactive request of the mobile communication function is received; shifting from the low-power idle state to a low-power access state by increasing the frequency of the control clock when an additional service request is received; shifting from the low-power access state to the low-power idle state if an additional service request is not received any more; shifting from the low-power idle state to a suspension state by suspending the control clock when request is not received for predetermined time; and shifting from the suspension state to the low-power idle state when the input interrupt and the timer interrupt occur.

    • Provided is a wireless packet communication method, and more particularly, a method and apparatus for enabling low-power communication by providing separate driving clocks optimized for a lower part for performing the function of a physical layer part and an upper part for performing the function of an upper layer above the physical layer in a wireless packet communication system. The method includes a first clock providing step of measuring actual data transmission and reception rates at a predetermined period, setting up a frequency (F1) of a first clock based on the measured rates, and providing the first clock to the upper part and a second clock providing step of determining a transfer mode of the wireless packet communication system, detecting a frequency (F2) of a second clock selected according to the determined transfer mode, and providing the second clock to the lower part.

    • Provided is a method for managing a vehicle state using a car media player. The method includes the steps of: (a) acquiring information on states of vehicle parts from a plurality of sensors, installed in the respective vehicle parts, through a dedicated vehicle network; (b) generating vehicle management information based on the acquired information on the states of the vehicle parts; and (c) notifying information necessary for repair of the vehicle based on the vehicle management information. Information on a vehicle state is received from a dedicated vehicle network using a typical car media player, and a vehicle state management such as replacement of vehicle parts is performed based on the information on the vehicle state. Therefore, a driver can reduce a cost of installing a separate vehicle state management device and need not separately perform a vehicle state management such as replacement time of vehicle parts. A vehicle repair shop can reduce time and cost of inspecting a vehicle state, and can minimize resource waste and cost loss, which are caused by too frequent replacement of vehicle parts. Due to the timely replacement of vehicle parts, the vehicle state can be optimally managed. Thus, the risk of vehicle accidents can decrease and the life span of the vehicle can increase.
