    • A liquid crystal display module, a liquid crystal display device, and a method for assembling the liquid crystal display device, which are capable of minimizing the overall size of the liquid crystal display device by improving an engaging structure between the liquid crystal display module and a case, are disclosed. Engaging holes are formed in an unused region of a top chassis, a mold frame and an end portion of a back cover. One side of a shaft screw is engaged with a catching member integrally formed with the inner side upper surface of a case. The other side of the shaft screw penetrates through the engaging holes of the top chassis, the mold frame, and the back cover and is engaged with a nut screw on a rear surface of the back cover. Accordingly, a separate space for installing a fixing member for fixing the mold frame and the back cover to the case is not needed, and the case, the mold frame, and the back cover is not engaged by using a separate screw. Therefore, the overall size of the liquid crystal display device can be minimized, and the number of parts and the number of assembling processes can be remarkably reduced.

    • A backlight assembly includes a light supplying part and a light guide plate. The light supplying part includes a white light source and a monochromatic light source that generates a monochromatic light. The white light source generates a white light responsive to an electric power provided from exterior to the backlight assembly. The light guide plate is disposed adjacent to a side of the light supplying part. The light guide plate includes a light guiding region where the white light and the monochromatic light are guided into and a peripheral region that surrounds the light guiding region. Therefore, color reproducibility of an LCD apparatus is increased so that an image display quality of the LCD apparatus is improved.

    • Disclosed are a liquid crystal display device and a method for assembling the liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal display device has a display section for displaying images, a receiving container for receiving the display section, a power supplying section for supplying a power source to the display section, a signal converting section for converting signals from the display section and a fixing section for fixing the power supplying section and the signal converting section to the receiving container. The power supplying section and the signal converting section are disposed between the display section and the fixing section with directly facing to a rear surface of the receiving container. Accordingly, a total thickness and weight of the liquid crystal display device can be minimized and an assembly facility of the liquid crystal display device can be improved.
