摘要： In order to generate a multi-channel signal having a number of output channels greater than a number of input channels, a mixer is used for upmixing the input signal to form at least a direct channel signal and at least an ambience channel signal. A speech detector is provided for detecting a section of the input signal, the direct channel signal or the ambience channel signal in which speech portions occur. Based on this detection, a signal modifier modifies the input signal or the ambience channel signal in order to attenuate speech portions in the ambience channel signal, whereas such speech portions in the direct channel signal are attenuated to a lesser extent or not at all. A loudspeaker signal outputter then maps the direct channel signals and the ambience channel signals to loudspeaker signals which are associated to a defined reproduction scheme, such as, for example, a 5.1 scheme.

摘要： The present invention is based on the finding that a reconstructed output channel, reconstructed with a multi-channel reconstructor using at least one downmix channel derived by downmixing a plurality of original channels and using a parameter representation including additional information on a temporal fine structure of an original channel can be reconstructed efficiently with high quality, when a generator for generating a direct signal component and a diffuse signal component based on the downmix channel is used. The quality can be essentially enhanced, if only the direct signal component is modified such that the temporal fine structure of the reconstructed output channel is fitting a desired temporal fine structure, indicated by the additional information on the temporal fine structure transmitted.

摘要： An apparatus calculates a number of spectral envelopes to be derived by a spectral band replication (SBR) encoder, wherein the SBR encoder is adapted to encode an audio signal using a plurality of sample values within a predetermined number of subsequent time portions in an SBR frame extending from an initial time to a final time, the predetermined number of subsequent time portions being arranged in a time sequence given by the audio signal. The apparatus has a decision value calculator for determining a decision value, the decision value measuring a deviation in spectral energy distributions of a pair of neighboring time portions. The apparatus further has a detector for detecting a violation of a threshold by the decision value and a processor for determining a first envelope border between the pair of neighboring time portions when the violation of the threshold is detected.

The correction term is then combined with the weighted subband signal to obtain a corrected subband signal, resulting in reduced aliasing, even if subband signals are weighted to a different extent.

摘要： In a method for the cascaded coding and decoding of audio data the spectral components of the short-time spectrum associated with a data block are formed for each data block with a certain number of time input data, the coded signal is formed, by quantization and coding, on the basis of the spectral components for this data block and using a psycho-acoustic model to determine the bit distribution for the spectral components, whereupon time output data are obtained by decoding at the end of each codec stage.To prevent a deterioration in the sound quality in codec cascades with a plurality of stages, an identification code is added to the coded signal at an initial stage to mark the start of the data block; furthermore, the subsequent codec stages divide the data blocks to be coded on the basis of this identification code.

摘要： A noise filler for providing a noise-filled spectral representation of an audio signal on the basis of an input spectral representation of the audio signal has a spectral region identifier configured to identify spectral regions of the input spectral representation spaced from non-zero spectral regions of the input spectral representation by at least one intermediate spectral region, to obtain identified spectral regions, and a noise inserter configured to selectively introduce noise into the identified spectral regions to obtain the noise-filled spectral representation of the audio signal. A noise filling parameter calculator for providing a noise filling parameter on the basis of a quantized spectral representation of an audio signal has a spectral region identifier, as mentioned above, and a noise value calculator configured to selectively consider quantization errors of the identified spectral regions for a calculation of the noise filling parameter. Accordingly, an encoded audio signal representation representing the audio signal can be obtained.
