    • A system, a method, and a computer readable article of manufacture for metadata searching. The system includes: a receiving module for receiving a search query with respect to a plurality of metadata resources; a query module for parsing the search query and searching related metadata resources and the structural information among the related metadata resources according to the parsing of the search query; and an output module for outputting the search results so as to realize a fuzzy structural search with respect to the plurality of metadata resources. The method includes the steps of: receiving a search query that does not designate complete structural information of the metadata resources; parsing the search query and searching related metadata resources to form search results that include the complete structural information; and outputting the search results.

    • The present invention provides a method and apparatus for helping a user form a structured diagram from an unstructured information source. Starting with one or more key information elements such as some special words, the requests of a customer contained in the information source can be obtained by performing interactive and iterative searching in the unstructured information source such as text, audio, video and etc., the artifacts representing them are drawn in the diagram, and linkages are established between the artifacts and the corresponding contents in the information source. The present invention also proposes that the distribution of established linkages can be used to check whether all the requests in the information source have been extracted in the diagram. Further, various levels of warnings can be shown according to the density of linkage distribution. Therefore the user can draw a structured diagram more conveniently and quickly, and can perform checking and reusing more easily.

    • A correlation-based service mediator consists of Semantic Query Generator, Service Query Manager, Service Invocation Flow Generator, Service Invocation Manager, Expression Interpreter and Service Invocation Result Cache. The Semantic Query Generator handles service requests. It generates Semantic Query statements. Basically, the generator converts service request to Semantic Query based on input/output parameters in the service request. The Service Query Manager interfaces with an Ontology Engine, in order to execute the semantic queries. It will pass the query results to Service Invocation Flow Generator. The Service Invocation Flow Generator creates service invocation flow definition based on query results passed from Service Query Manager. The Service Invocation Manager executes the flow definitions. It also manages a service invocation result cache, so that invocation results can be saved and reused for later service request. When the execution results are not available in cache, the Service Invocation Manager invokes service according to flow definition. It should be noted that when attribute dependent functions are invoked Expression Interpreter compute the execution results. The service mediator possesses two major functionalities: service matching and service invocation.
