摘要： A device for selectively interconnecting a plurality of telephone key sets with a number of incoming telephone lines is disclosed. The device facilitates rapid and easy cross connecting of telephone key sets on specific premises with selected incoming lines without the requirement for the work to be accomplished by skilled technicians. The subject device includes a terminal station which is interconnected between incoming lines and a plurality of individual key sets located within a particular prescribed area. The interconnection of the individual sets with incoming lines is accomplished by cross connecting connectors for the individual key sets and connectors for the lines with jumper cables. The jumper cables have four or more conductors with an extra conductor being used when it is desired to have the designated key set ring.

摘要： An apparatus (20) and methods are provided for splicing selected portions of sliver (S) such as during yarn formation and processing. The apparatus (20) preferably includes a needle carrying member (35) having a plurality of needles (32) to engage silver (S) when positioned adjacent thereto and a needle engaging member (45) positioned to underlie the needle carrying member (35) and to receive the plurality of needles (32) from the first needle carrying member (35). The apparatus (20) also preferably includes a hand-activated needle actuation device (30, 40) connected to the needle carrying member (35) and the needle engaging member (45) to position the needle carrying member (35) in an open position to allow sliver (S) to be spliced to be readily positioned therebetween and responsive to closing at least portions of the hand (H) of a user for actuating the engaging of the needle carrying member (35) with the sliver (S) and the needle engaging member (45) so that the engaging of plurality of needles (32) of the needle carrying member (35) with the needle engaging member (45) thereby defines a closed position.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of producing an immersion nozzle for continuous casting, which comprises integrally molding a first zirconia-graphite compound applied to a powder-line portion of the nozzle, and a second compound applied to at least an inner hole portion of the nozzle. The second compound includes 10 mass % or more of clinker particles each containing CaO as a mineral phase, and the surface of at least a part of the clinker particles is subjected to an anti-hydration treatment, such as a heat treatment to be performed under a CO2 atmosphere to convert CaO to CaCO3. The method of the present invention can suppress volume expansion caused by the reaction between CaO and water released from resin added as binder, so as to prevent the occurrence of cracks during a burning process of the molded piece.

摘要： There is provided a therapeutic medical compression garment with an integrally knit anti-slip portion. The anti-slip portion of the garment is located in the upper area thereof. In the embodiment wherein the garment is a stocking, the anti-slip portion is placed in the thigh area of the thigh-hi stocking or the upper calf area of the knee-hi stocking. In the thigh-hi stockings, the anti-slip section may start just above the knee or be located in the upper thigh area (for use in mobilized patients, the anti-slip section may start already just above) the ankle area, e.g., also in knee-hi stockings at the calves upwards.
