    • A prepress workflow process suitable for generating a reproduction composite image from a source image that may be tolerant to or exhibit improved tolerance to misregistration when printed is provided. Embodiments of the prepress workflow process include obtaining a source image. Next, N≧2 color separations are generated from the source image. The color separations may be process or non-process color separations. The N color separations are first processed globally for improving the misregistration tolerance of a reproduction composite image to be formed therefrom. If the misregistration tolerance of the reproduction composite image is not acceptable to be user, at least a portion of each N color separation may be further processed at a local level for producing an improved misregistration tolerant reproduction composite image.

    • A container assembly for tracking a radio frequency identification tag (20) generally includes at least one container (22), an RFID tag (24) associated with the container, and an RFID signal transmitter (26) associated with the radio frequency identification tag. The RFID signal transmitter is capable of transmitting an RFID response signal (1044). The assembly further includes a tracking signal transmitter (28) associated with the RFID signal transmitter. The tracking signal transmitter is capable of transmitting a tracking signal (1046), and the tracking signal is different at least in part from the RFID signal.

    • A method of color printing on packaging containers using transparent colors is described. The method is limited to the use of no more than two of the primary process colors. For many images primary process colors are not needed at all. Preferably, only two transparent inks will be used. In some cases an opaque ink may be applied first as a masking image underlying a part or all of the transparent ink overprint. In other cases the opaque ink may be applied last as a masking print over part of the image. The method can be used on any substrate color but it is particularly useful on dyed papers or unbleached kraft brownboard. While color reproduction is not totally accurate, nor is this expected in a colorimetric sense, surprisingly attractive and realistic images generally faithful to the original are attainable.
