摘要： Treatment of autoimmune and/or inflammatory diseases associated with overexpression of Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) as well as Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and/or TLR3/TLR4 signaling in nonimmune cells, monocytes, macrophages, and/or dendritic cells in association with related pathologies. The use of phenylmethimazoles, methimazole derivatives, and tautomeric cyclic thiones for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases associated with TLR3 as well as TLR4 and/or TLR3/TLR4 cellular signaling in association with related pathologies is disclosed. Methods of treating a subject having a disease or condition associated with abnormal TLR-3 as well as TLR-4 and/or TLR3/TLR4 cellular signaling in association with related pathologies are also disclosed. The present disclosure also relates to the treatment of autoimmune-inflammatory pathologies and chemokine and cytokine-mediated diseases associated with TLR overexpression and signaling. The disclosure also relates to pharmaceutical formulations capable of inhibiting the IRF-3/Type 1 IFN/STAT/ISRE/IRF-1 pathway associated with Toll-like receptor overexpression or signaling.

摘要： The present disclosure is drawn to methods and systems for producing solutions containing ultrafine metal particles. The method for producing ultrafine metal particles in an aqueous medium includes providing a reaction chamber having a transition metal anode and a transition metal cathode disposed therein. The reaction chamber can also contain an aqueous medium. An anode and cathode are associated at a distance with respect to one another such that when activated by a power source, a discharge arc occurs between the anode and cathode within the aqueous medium. Activation of a power source causes the discharge arc to occur between the anode and the cathode, thereby generating ultrafine metal particles suspended within the aqueous medium.

摘要： A portably log splitter is provided. The log splitter comprises a base having a pair of one-piece side members, and a support member to which the one-piece side members are attached. The support member and the one-piece side members form a seat that is adapted to receive a log. The log splitter also includes a splitting wedge that is attached to the support member and a contact member that is configured to translate in a reciprocal manner adjacent to the support member in order to move the log. The log splitter also includes a control assembly operated by a switch to actuate the contact member in the reciprocal manner.
