    • The present invention provides a dispensing device for applying fluid comprising a pressurized reservoir equipped with a dosing module having at least one dosing chamber which is able to communicate with the reservoir and with a nozzle provided for dispensing a dose of fluid, characterized in that the dosing chamber comprises a moving and/or deformable member which delimits at least a first and a second compartments of variable volume, each compartment having an inlet and an outlet associated with valve means, wherein valve means are controlled according to a first configuration in which the inlet of the first compartment and the outlet of the second compartment are open while the other inlet and outlet being closed, and according to a second configuration in which the inlet of the second compartment and the outlet of the first compartment are open while the other inlet and outlet being closed.

    • The invention is a peristaltic pump having a particularly simple construction and a low axial bulk.The pump (1) includes a rotor (20) having rollers (21,22,23) which roll against a tube (14) containing the liquid to be pumped. The compression of the tube presses the rollers against the circular peripheral surface (35) of a central vibrating stator (32) in the form of a disc or ring, which guides the rollers and causes them to turn. The stator (32) is set in vibration by piezoelectric means and vibrates by extension in its radial plane following a progressive wave. The chassis (24) of the rotor is devoid of a central drive shaft.Such a peristaltic pump is notably useful in the medical domain, in machines to be worn by a patient or implanted in the body of a human being or animal.

    • A medical device known as an implantable infusion device is configured for implanting in humans to deliver a therapeutic substance such as pharmaceutical compositions, genetic materials, and biologics to treat a variety of medical conditions such as pain, spasticity, cancer, and many other conditions. The infusion device incorporates a motor coil connector and mechanical sealing system between the clean motor compartment and the potentially corrosive pump compartment that provides a reliable electrical connection between the motor coil and the motor drive electronics. The motor coil connector provides for bonding of a very small diameter coil wire to one end of the connector and a highly corrosion resistant connection at the other end of the connector. Additionally, the motor coil connector and mechanical sealing system provides a seal against harmful corrosion materials that could emanate from the pump compartment and reach the motor compartment and cause malfunction of the motor. The infusion device has a housing, a power source, a therapeutic substance reservoir, a therapeutic substance pump, and electronics.

    • A dispensing apparatus for a liquid product, the apparatus comprising a) a housing (2) or frame (3), b) a receptacle (4) for the liquid with a feed nozzle (4a) arranged substantially stationary with respect to the housing or frame, c) a dosing chamber (11) having an orifice (11a), d) a mechanism arranged to allow at least ejection of liquid through the orifice and e) a through passage (7) arranged to allow the ejected liquid to pass in a direction different from the feed nozzle or opening. The mechanism comprises a mobile element arranged movable with respect to the housing or frame between at least a first position in which the orifice of the dosing chamber and the feed nozzle or opening are in flow communication and a second position in which the orifice and the through passage are in flow communication and the mechanism is arranged to allow aspiration of liquid through the orifice when the mobile element is in the first position and ejection of liquid through the orifice when the mobile element is in the second position. A method for operating the device comprises the steps of i) connecting the orifice and the nozzle or opening in flow communication, ii) filling liquid into the dosing chamber through the orifice, iii) aligning the orifice with the through passage, and iv) ejecting liquid from the dosing chamber through the orifice.
