    • An active matrix display may include: a panel including a plurality of scan lines which transmit scan signals, a plurality of data lines which transmit data signals in response to the scan signals from the scan lines, a plurality of pixel circuits which are formed in a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixel circuits include a display element and a driving transistor driving the display element, and a power line which supplies a driving current to the driving transistor; a scan driver selectively transmitting the scan signals to the scan lines; a compensation circuit unit generating a compensation signal for compensating a voltage drop of the power line which results from a change in a total driving current flowing through the panel; and a data driver compensating the data signals using the compensation signal and transmitting compensated data signals to the data lines.

    • A light emitting display including data lines for transmitting data voltages, scan lines for selecting select signals, and pixel circuits. The pixel circuit is coupled to a data line and a scan line. The pixel circuit includes a transistor including first, second, and third electrodes, wherein the third electrode outputs a current corresponding to a voltage between the first and second electrodes. A light emitting element coupled to the third electrode emits light corresponding to the current outputted by the third electrode. A first switch transmits a data voltage in response to a select signal from the scan line. A voltage compensator receives the data voltage transmitted by the first switch and a second power supply voltage and applies a compensated data voltage based on the data voltage, a first power supply voltage and the second power supply voltage to the first electrode of the transistor.

    • An organic light emitting display that reduces the number of output lines from a data driver, attains image stability, and adjusts white balance. A plurality of demultiplexers at the primary output lines of the data driver simultaneously supply the data signals from each primary output line to a plurality of secondary output lines allowing a reduced number of primary output lines. A plurality of parasitic capacitors are formed where data lines are coupled with the pixels and are charged to a voltage corresponding to the data signal that is simultaneously provided to the pixels allowing an image of uniform brightness to be displayed. The scan period and the data period are not overlapping allowing a stable image. Capacitance values of data capacitors are set taking into consideration the light emitting efficiency of organic light emitting diodes, allowing an image of adjusted white balance.

    • A light emitting display includes pixel circuits capable of compensating for the threshold voltages of their driving transistors. Each pixel circuit includes a driving transistor, a capacitor having one end coupled to a gate electrode of the driving transistor, a first switch coupled between the gate electrode of the driving transistor and a first main electrode, which is turned on in response to a first level of a first control signal for diode-coupling the driving transistor, and a second switch turned on in response to a second level of a second control signal to transmit current flowing out of the first main electrode of the driving transistor to a light emitting element. The second switch is turned on when the first switch is turned on for a first period longer than 0.05 μs and shorter than 2.5 μs. The second switch is turned on when the first switch is turned off.

    • In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a pixel circuit for a luminescent display, in which plural pixel circuits are formed in a plurality of pixels defined by a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines. The pixel circuit includes: a luminescent element; a first capacitor; a first transistor having a gate electrode coupled to the first capacitor, and a first main electrode coupled to a power supply line; a first switch for diode-connecting the first transistor in response to a selection signal to charge the first capacitor with a voltage corresponding to a threshold voltage of the first transistor; a second transistor for transferring the data signal from the data lines in response to a selection signal; a second capacitor for storing a voltage corresponding to the data signal; and a second switch for isolating the second main electrode of the first transistor from the luminescent element during voltage-charging of the first capacitor in response to a control signal.
