摘要： An aromatic polymer electrolyte that when directly used in a methanol fuel cell, excels in methanol shutoff, etc. There is provided a polymer electrolyte comprising polymer main chains containing oxygen elements and/or sulfur elements and aromatic carbon rings and, directly bonded to some or all of the aromatic carbon rings of the entirety of the polymer electrolyte including side chains, ion exchange groups, wherein the ratio (R) of the number of aromatic condensed polycyclic carbon rings to the total number of aromatic carbon rings of the entirety of the polymer electrolyte including side chains (sum of the number of aromatic monocyclic carbon rings and the number of aromatic condensed polycyclic carbon rings) satisfies the formula: 1>R≧0.15.

摘要： The present invention provides: a layered structure having a substrate and a hole injection and/or hole transport layer comprising an aromatic compound having, on a side chain, at least one type of group having a cationic center; an electronic device having the layered structure; an aromatic compound having, on a hydrocarbon side chain, at least one type of group having a cationic center; an aromatic compound having a leaving group on a hydrocarbon side chain; and a method for manufacturing the aromatic compound having, on a hydrocarbon side chain, at least one type of group having a cationic center, the method comprising reacting the aromatic compound having a leaving group on a hydrocarbon side chain with a specific nitrogen compound, phosphorus compound, sulfur compound, or a combination of two or more of these compounds, thereby converting the aromatic compound into an onium salt thereof. When used as an electronic device material, and particularly as a hole transport and/or hole injection material, the aromatic compound can achieve a higher current density at a given voltage.

摘要： Provided is an aromatic polymer phosphonic acid derivative in which a phosphonic acid derivative group is directly bound to aromatic ring. Said aromatic polymer phosphonic acid derivative can be produced by brominating a specific aromatic polymer compound with a brominating agent, then acting thereon trialkyl phosphite in the presence of a nickel halide catalyst to give a phosphonic acid di-ester, and further, by hydrolyzing the di-ester. The aromatic polymer phosphonic acid derivative is excellent in radical resistance and used for a solid polymer type fuel cell.
